I would check again with a multimeter. I have had circuits light up a test light but would not deliver any type of load applied to the circuit.

Which head did you replace? If passenger side, make sure all grounds that attach at the back of the head are reconnected (3)?. When I swapped motors in my 95 I missed them along with others but i had the no fuel, no glowplug light, no ses light upon trying to start.

Because a 6 speed would be the tits! lol plus why not make something that no one has done yet. Well, atleast i have yet to see a 6 speed behind the 6.5.

That strap from the hood is not long enough to get anywhere near the motor let alone the frame.it barely reaches the stud at the top of the firewall with the hood open. either way it was what i needed so i didnt look to far into it.

There is a stud just off to the pass side above the motor on the firewall. The braided strap came from under the hood mat near the lamp and hung down almost perfectly to that stud. I have two wires to the lamp plus that strap on my hood. I will get a pic of it and post it up in the next few days.

I only have two wires plus a ground strap there. and i have taken the wiring loom apart and searched for another wire and there is not another. when i tested the pmd again the green wire was pulsing 7.4-7.8v. way too high. ideas?

oh and when i pull the gauges fuse, the check engine light and service throttle light comes on. put the fuse back in and those lights go out. still cant connect with ecm. have tried a different ecm as well with no change.

Well after all the reading on this issue the last few days I beleive it is a ground issue somewhere. I bought new wire and a hand full of ends plus two ground straps im going to replace them all tonight and tomorrow. hopefully something changes lol. If not i think ill switch the ignition switch...

i have two wires and a ground strap at the rear there. when i pulled the motor there was only two black wires and the ground strap back there. so its the same as with the old motor. ive unplugged every connector and looked at them and they look good, no dirt or grime in them.
