I need a Diesel Tech. Im in Mississippi. I have numerous issuess that have cost me a fortune to no avail. Its been everywhere here. Dealerships, shops, etc....
Truck is modified.....
Thanks
Like looks and power capability.
Dont like injector issues. Weak turbo.
Known issues.....injectors injectors and injectors. Every LB7 will have at least one set of injectors during its lifetime.
My LB7 desired is 24,9xx.......the actual is 24,7xx. I have seen 25k desired. My rail pressure desired/actual stays within 500psi of each other. I think the target would be 21-23k on stock injectors.
The front rotors/pads were done about 5k ago. Rear have not been done. Im thinking change rear setup, Ive got stainless brake lines ordered for front and rear.
But Im wondering if the ujoint can cause the vibe too....Ive got 221k miles now. Its the original joint.
Are you 100% sure the tranny is slipping? Could it be the tune? Ive had tunes that felt like convertor slip, especially at higher speeds with light throttle, like cruising at 85mph.....
Before tranny work, I would rule out other things. Change tunes or put in stock tune for a day or two...
Is there an update to the shaking? My truck has the exact same thing, its worse while braking, but so bad now I just cant take it. Done the obvious, shocks, pressures, tuning, etc.
Im wondering about the u joints. Can bad joints cause this fierce vibration?
No method is proven to prevent injector failure. No filtering, additives, or tuning. I will say that the higher hp trucks with hipo injectors dont seem to have as many injector issues as stockers. Im on my 4th set. Second set of extrude honed injectors.
There is a repair kit from GM you can purchase with instuctions on how to fix. Its fairly simple. Its basically grease in a syringe. There also was a TSB but it was a while ago.
LMC an aftermarket truck supplier carries a performance steering shaft assy.
Dunno....but the other one at cool my duramax has been through lots of testing. He makes all kinds of stuff, headers too.
My truck stays rather cool, never above 190. I use Water Wetter and have for years. I do have the electrics on my wish list because my fan is loud when its on....
There...
Tuning is hard on the parts so everything will wear faster. Engine, trans, suspension, brakes, steering, body.
My truck has 221,xxx miles. Tuned since 60k. Always needs tending too. Aprox 550hp and runs high 12's. Driven daily for work. Built engine planning has officially started...
