Are these turbos to small for the 6.5 engines? I saw them on e-bay and they were for the 12 valve dodge trucks. Also no waste gate like the 40's.
Price is less than the CKO 40's. Ha anyone ran one on their truck?
Thanks for any advice

I have tried to find a 10 blade turbine wheel hx40wII on the e-bay vendors. Only one person would check for me and it was a 12 blade.
Do any of you that have a knock off holset like a particular vendor that gave you good service. I just don't know who to purchase one of these
turbos from...
Hello, Does all these hx40w11 turbos on e-bay come from the company or fellow "Indyracingparts"
While looking, it seems that all the ads are from this party.
I am ready to order and want to get the turbo from the same company others on this board got there's from.
Prices are $279.95 and one...
I will take a pic of the actuator so you can see it. It must have came off another rig. I can't tell how much air pressure it takes to move the rod, and I will see the movement when back together.
Thanks to all of you for help

I installed the DE 4" exhaust and have the 2.5" xover. The turbo is a GM-3 and the arm that hooks to the WG shaft is tack welded on to the shaft. It seems that the counter clockwise movement of the arm closes the WG and when I clockwise the arm if open, but the arm is horizontal toward the...
JiFaire,
Thank you for the reply. So, the yellow would be the reading if mounted post turbo? I was thinking of going to the class 8 junk yard to get a boost and pyrometer
gauge. It would be cheap to purchase. I don't know if that would be a good idea to have a used EGT gauge over a new one. I...
Hello to all,
I had two peterbilts tractors and both had the EGT probe installed on the exhaust pipe after the turbo. It was reading the hot exhaust gases after the turbine. What is the difference reading before or after the turbo? Has anyone mounted theirs after the turbo?
Have fun

I seem to have excessive blow-by for 108k miles. My gearhead buddy said to check out a dragster gas engine blow-by vent and run a tube to mid way on the 4" exhaust pipe and add a A.I.R. one way valve. You are not letting the engine eat the air at turbo, but letting the draw of the exhaust burn...
