Naw, you wont get run over in traffic. The VN800 will run away from 99% of the 4-wheel vehicles out there. We ride with guys with 600 V-stars and other than being noisy as hell do to the higher RPM's, they keep up just fine.

P.S. An 800 aint a small twin in my book. Now an old 535...
40 ft or so.
The blue one is mine, a 06 road king custom. The grey-ish one is daves, also a 2006 RK custom, and the black one is mikes. Its a 2008 Street Glide.

Lesee... Where'd we leave off?
Ah, yes. The water hole. After a rough 10 hours in the saddle, in 90+ degree heat and sunburnt to a crisp, this little swimming hole was too good to pass up. I changed into my swim trunks right in the parking lot, modesty be damned. If they charged $100 to jump...
I was within the distance that would get you a sharp talking to from the ranger. Probably 40 feet at the closest. She didnt really take notice of us (there was about 20 people snapping pics), but when a jeep went through with a dog barking in the back, she really perked up. Kinda like she was...
wow, what a trip. 3 guys, 4 days, 5 states and 1680 miles total. Spent at least 12 hours in the seat each day (the secret? Baby Powder, and LOTS of it!)
If you own a motorcycle, sell the kids into slavery, or whatever you have to do to make this trip at least once. Thursday and Sunday were...
I've seen an acetyline baloon go off once. This might top that.
For those not in the know, take a standard cutting torch rig, get it set for a nice cutting flame and snuff the fire out. Let the tip cool a bit, and then use it to inflate a regular balloon with it. Blow up 3 or 4 balloons the...
I didnt buy it to sit in the garage and look pretty. :ihih: I ride year round, except in the snow.
Since I bought it in March of 2006, its made 4 trips to Gatlinburg TN, (Including one loop of St. Louis, to G-burg, to Chatanooga, to Lynchburg TN and back) One to Des Moines, One to KC. and a...
You can light up inside the wheel pretty easily, too.
Look at my front wheel. I got a 3 led pod on the inside of the calipers on each side. So far 1+ years and 12000 miles without an issue, other than an overzealous rookie LEO with a missunderstading of MO state laws.

If you like blue, check out my road king... (shitty ellphone camera pictures, but you get the idea)
LEDs off
and LEDs on
It sparkles like a jewel at night.
Tim
yep, me too.
this is called using up ALL your lean angle. I was making some sparky-sparks, but they didnt show up in the picture.
the FLH chassis is very nimble for a touring bike, but it must take a pure mainac to outrun a sportbike in the twisties.

1.3 suzuki 4 banger with stock zook 5 speed
Cheap and easy to fix (except the freaking starter). what it lacks in power, I more than make up for in gearing. in the low side, 5th gear and flat on the floor, is only 22 MPH.
Think: Japaneese version of an old willys flat-fender jeep. About...
Axles are stock, with birfeild rings to toughen them up some. It came with 6.80:1 reduction gears on the low side of the t-case. and the T-case sits in a welded steel bucket called a 'mighty kong'. So far, havent broke nothing. (that will change, I am sure)
what color is a holstein cows...
some of me and my freinds wheeling our Zooks.
Greatest little toy I ever bought. I paid less for it than I did my new Deere riding mower. (the red one is mine)

Yep, cherohala is visually a much more stunning ride. Actually, the scenery on the dragon is pretty crappy, but I like riding it for the challange. I am all about hitting a good line and smoothness over raw speed.
The Cherohala lists as my second most beautiful road ever ridden. Sorry, but...
It is blasphemy to drink Crown and Cokes out of a plastic cup. :toetap05: :nono::sosp::rolleyes5:
The coffee maker will work just fine as long as the generator is running. And I plan on running the gen to power the A/C. When I go 'get away from it all', I like to take most of 'it'...
my highway pegs touch down before anything else. Well, actually my heels do. I like it, its a good feeler for when I am running out of lean.
I keep good tires on it, though. Every year gets a new rear, and every other year gets both. Period. No matter how much wear is left in them (which...
