Everyone that asks me about a first bike, I try to steer them clear of all those big, heavy, expensive bikes. I've only been successful a couple of times, though. So I sit back and wait for the 'I told you so', and it always happens. It happens from anything from what happened this weekend...

1k will be hard to hit. You might be able to find a decent bike from the mid to late 80s at that price, but woh. Boost it up to 2k and you can easily find a Suzuki GS500, Kawi Ninja 250 or 500, or a Honda Nighthawk, then you'll have a nice and reliable bike that will do anything you want it...

No biggie:sifone: I use Michelin on all 60 of my work trucks. My 2 sportbikes have Avon's and My V-Max has Dunlop's. Only 2 manufactures make the rear tire for my V-Max and the choises are Dunlop or Bridgestone......and I wouldn't use a Bridgestone/Firestone on my lawnmower.:shiiiiiite::puke:
