231 is always much better than siting on the side of the road, no doubt. I guess I'm just at the point where any fan enguagement starts to bug me, because I know now it's up to the 'rescue team' to save the truck from boilover and the wife wakes up from her nap. :hand: It almost seems like a...
First of all, thank you for speaking to me and please don't call me a wack job. Just because I may not totally agree with you doesn't mean I'm wrong or insane for some reason. I don't want to get into a shouting match, it will get us no where.
I don't know how you can say you were the only...
Gezz, let's spend all the money on your crap 'fixes' for nothing, KB. How many are there??? Now it's a mouthpiece that's the magic cure?? Yep, it's a performance gain no doubt and a great decrease in many fields, but the 'cure'...I don't think so. I know of a few trucks with your fixes and...
600 mile round trip only gets me to Dallas and back, at best, maybe Waco, in a different direction.... :(
Sad part is, I havn't rode since my trip to CO to see the Pikes Peak Hill Climb back in late July. :queasy: It's just to boring here compared to there. :cryin:
2 weeks I go...
In theory it shouldn't matter, but it could be a bad or inadiquite ground. My Triumph had a glitch after I first bought it. It would stumble and die at times. Happened once in a blue moon at best, but I still brought it in, just incase. There was a TSB to replace the ground wire to the ECM...
I've been with Progressive for a few years now, seems to be a good, run of the mill ins co. Rates have been steady for a few years, I'll probably shop it next year to see what else is out there, though.
If the actuator is moving back and forth, it's working!!!! Something is telling it to move.......ECM maybe????? Programming???? :frown2: You ain't gotta be the head cashier at the WallMart to figure that out....
Found it. :)
Lower frame rail, left side, in front of the foot peg area, near the front wheel. Easy to see by looking through the left wheel well and down. If you turn the wheels to the left the rear of the LF tire could almost hit it. :cheers2:
I bought it new in '99, stareing at that Ducati sitting next to it on the showroom for more than double the price. I had no where near the skill level, money or the 'respect' to own a Ducati, but one day......... Fast forward 8 years, a few spare bikes and many many many miles in between and I...
It's a sad sad day. My second street bike, my first 'true love' sold today... :cryin: My '99 Triumph Daytona 955i is gone, hopefully to a good owner, that will take care of her like I did. I had to put it on consingment at my buddy's shop because I don't think I could of looked the person in...
I can remember one of the motorcycle magazines talking about that problem, I thought they fixed that before production???? I'd deffinantly take it to the dealer to see what they say.
As for the heat thing, all sport or sport type bikes are like that. :smash:
I'm fully aware of the Concours' capabilities , but to me, they are kind of on the lines of a Gold Wing, kind of 'old fashoned' and plain. I've never heard of a problem out of them and have a few friends that have them now, or have had one in the past. It's kind of like a V-max, in...
