Okay, so it's time to flush the cooling system and refill. Except for one thing... how the heck does that radiator drain plug come out?
This is the type I have on the radiator and, as far as I can see, it's not removable. Or if it is then it needs a special tool. I've never seen one like it...
I see a lot of information being given in this thread, but not a lot of what I'd consider facts. This link gives a lot of great info on coolants for diesels. Oh, and DexCool is not rated for diesel use, no matter what your GM dealer says...
Yeah, but to get back to what I was asking, at what pressure? And, as I originally stated, I'm looking to maximize fuel economy but without being over inflated. Also, rotating at every oil change simply is not an option. Rotate and balance on all six wheels is about $100 and I get the oil...
Right, but by the time wear patterns start to show up you're 30k down the road and halfway to a new set of tires. And if the wear pattern is bad, well, you may be going for a new set a lot sooner than you expected to.
I know there's a formula automotive engineers use to calculate what tire...
On the subject of checking tire pressures... Anyone have a formula for calculating the correct tire pressure range based on tire size / load range / type, number of wheels, and vehicle weight?
And yeah, I know about half y'all are gonna say "Go by what's on the sidewall", and the other half...
Depends on how dirty they get. If it's ground in grease, I use the GOJO orange with pumice. If it's just grease and oil, whatever brand of dish soap we happen to have by the deep sink in the laundry area.
Soft boiled with the yolk just barely runny, sliced and served over white rice with a little butter.
Or scrambled.
Or fried hard or medium on white bread or sourdough as a sandwich.
Or hard boiled and ice cold.
Looks that way. They had it marked "out for delivery" again today. UPS driver delivered several other packages earlier, checked his truck twice, it ain't on his truck.
And... UPS lost it. :mad2:
It was supposed to be delivered today, tracking info from UPS showed it on the truck and out for delivery... and it never got here. Several other UPS packages made it but that was not on the truck. Now the tracking info on the UPS site has been changed, deleting...
I went with the Photon Q for one simple reason... actual keyboard. My current phone is an LG Rumor Touch, with a slide out keyboard, and I really like having that. I'm an old fart, and my hands aren't as steady as they used to be, so trying to type on a screen just does not work well for me...
Yes, still Sprint. Amazon Wireless and Newegg are both authorized Sprint resellers.
Had to change my plan from a 700 minute family plan to a 1500 minute family data plan, which more than doubled the cost, but since we'd been paying $50mo extra for text and data bundles on the two phones it...
So, I've been looking at getting a new phone... The one I've decided on is the Motorola Photon Q, but if I get it I have to upgrade our cell plan. That's not really a problem since even though the plan is twice what our current plan costs, we won't need most of the extras that we're paying for...
I fill at around 3/4 (on the gauge) for a few reasons. First, it's an emergency vehicle and I never know when I might have to drive a couple hundred miles. Second, the fuel gauge on this truck has been "wonky" since it was new. GM records show the whole thing (gauge and sending units)...
