yea I called them this morning and they only make a kit that goes up to 96, thats why I am trying to figure out what the difrence is between the 96 and 97.

I am trying to get some pre-bent stainless brake lines for my Suburban its a 97, I can get lines for a 96 Sub but the dealer says that the 97 and 96's are diffrent. Does any one know what the diffrence is? Also would the 96 set up be the same as a 95 pickup? This is with all veichles being...
I dont have any concerns about strength my only concern is with the truck passing PA safty inspection. from what the code says it looks like it should be fine so this weekend if we dont get any more snow I will have to look at it and see where some holes could be made.

After riping one of my fog lights off today (damn snow banks) I like your idea. my question would be is there any problem with taking away strength from the bumper that might fail a safty inspection? Id love to do this but if it wolnt pass PA inspection then its not worth my time.

not trying to stir up any thing but I have to agree with Tookie, I have 3 trucks that are all this body style so they all have basicly the same systems same parts and it is nice that when I have a problem that is related to these OBS Chevy trucks I can search this forum for a thread that is all...
That new brake line from napa is the copper nickel alloy coating that was talked about in the begining of this thread. From what I recall my local Napa rep told me it comes with something like a 30yr warrenty, I will double check on that since I'm doing brake lines on my rear axle today.

Thanks guys for all of the replies, I was in no way trying to calculate the cylinder pressure once fuel is introduced and combustion started because of the amount of variables involved, I was just trying to figure out how much boost would be comparable depending on what compression ratio you...
Ok guys I was thinking about boost pressures in relation to the compression ratio of the engine. So all of my calculations are at sea level atmospheric pressure of 14.7psi.
calculations are air pressure (PSI) first then compression ratio second
Idle no boost
14.7psi x 21.1 = 310.17psi...
Definitally more info would be great, anything in the quest for more power! I wonder if running bigger precups on a high reving engine (like heaths 4500rpm racer) would make up for the loss in turbulance...

I had one of my donuts that seal the cross over turn sideways on me once cause the PO didnt tighten the bolts down all the way. Any way I went from 10psi max to 18psi max with only fixing the donut and no other changes. This is the stock turbo on my 95.
