I called my buddy and he said they swapped out the whole frame. He said he though they used a Ram 3500 ECLB frame. IDk if this would work on Chevy or not?
I've never seen a GMT400 crew cab 1/2 ton. Anyone know if that is factory or if it is a cab swab?
I got a buddy who did this to a CCLB Ram 3500 DRW for a guy. I'll try to get up with him and see if he cut the frame or swapped the whole chasis out.
I bet. I wish I had done it back with the boost/pyro.
About the injector, I know next to nothing about the injection system on these trucks. I can only hear the tick at about 1,000 to 1,300 RPM's and the hiccup is only at idle. Is it okay to raise the RPM's with a line cracked or is that a...
What is the best way to find a sticking injector? Will sticking a hose on each injector and listening work or do I need to crack the lines one at a time? Or is there a fuel additive to try before swapping each injector one at a time?
No, others have had the India units tested good so I took my chances.Thats what I'm scared of. I do not want to pull them again. We only have one diesel shop around here that I know of and they won't touch anything dealing with the 6.5L.
Forgot to mention that I put a set of duraterms in at...
lol, yeah. Thats the way it goes around here too. I didn't even know the last one was bad untill I tried to drain the water from fuel manager/filter and it knocked off. I'll check the fuel pressure next weekend, what are they good for? about 5 psi? Next time it goes bad I'm going with a Walbro...
I know it has pressure but idk how much. The lift pump is only a year old but i guess it could be giving low pressure. The motor didn't idle rough though back when the pump was non operational. Truck idled fine with herzog injectors but after I chainged them it idled rough. I though it got...
About 1500 or 2000 miles ago I chainged out my injectors for a set of Bosch from rockauto. Ever since the truck has had a fishbite or hiccup at idle. It only does it when the truck is warmed up. Pulling the coolant sensor brings the idle up and helps some but after it is warm you can still tell...
I thought S10/S15's were considered half tons by the factory. At least in the mid/late 90's?
What are the differences between half ton and 3/4 chasis? Our Tahoe sits a hair higher than my K2500 P/U thanks to the tires but when I climb under it is a tight fit between my chest and the frame...
I aint seen nuthing about temperature, but that is cold. We get excited over anthing under 20*F. I did find this:
"this prototype tire, in development since 2008, has been designed to support the weight of newer "up-armored" humvees and sustain speeds up to 50 mph, and is able to remain...

There is another video of a Ram with a set. These would come in handy with as many nails as I pull out of my tires. I wonder if they would hold up to a trailer with 2 or 3 cars stacked.
Not wanting to hijack or take anything away from Bruce, but my fiance's dad died over the summer from stomach cancer. Lost alot of weight, could pick him up by myself easy. He was only 53. Everything I know from vehicles came from him.
It's a tough pill to swallow. I'd be willing to throw in...
I got the NV4500 in the DD. I would almost rather keep the low miles on the diesel and drive the white mule. Even with the SM465 it wont get over 12.5 MPG though.
SM465 is the stirdiest tranny I have ever had, almost 700K miles between me, dad, and my uncle and alot of farm/surveying...
I loved the "Post Apacolypse Silverados" commercial. They had an old red stepside like mine, except mine is a white rustoleum GMC.
I read on Yahoo News that Ford tried to get the commercial pulled.
