Thats the other problem, someone (O'Riley?) said they could have one delivered that day from the warehouse but it was $250 or so. One reason I just bought the whole thing and went on my way.
I was thinking and it seems like it only does it after I drive it, get out, and try to crank it again...
Has anyone had any expirience with NAPA brand starters? I bought one a month or so ago and it is already giving trouble. Acts like the solenoid is bad already. For $300 I'd expect it to last longer than that, but it does have a lifetime warranty on it.
When Dad was in college he was going to class on his roommate's bike, turns out the brakes didn't work. He says going down the big hill on the way to campus he was passing cars in a 55 mph zone and had to run the red light at the bottom of the hill. Says when it stoped he got off and just left...
I hit 146 in the Firebird one time. Used to frequent the 120's in that.
Diesel - 95 mph
Last 3/4 ton ECLB - had laid over on 100 mph plenty of times
79 GMC - 70 mph or so
I was checking the voltage across the pins connecting to the lift pump and the motor reved and died. Now the lift pump won't prime and the truck won't start. Any ideas without throwing more money at it?
I'll agree with that. I do like some fast food but it gets expensive, especially since I get alot of the neighbors and friends extra game meat, and then alot of the rest comes from the garden.
Same here; the Bird wants leaded to boot and gets 11 mpg on a good day. The Mule refeuses to get better than 12 or so and diesel just went up another 10 cent here.
1993 had the DB2 pump and shouldn't have a FSD. Ive heard that if you pour water over the IP when it wont start hot, and then it cranks it is something about a worn out IP. I'm sure someone else on here will know how to explain what I'm trying to say better.
I bought a set of Bosch India injectors from rockauto and had one sticking. I replaced with an old set of German ones I had laying around untill I can get them tested/set
I usually stick to vodka and 'shine now that they banned 190 proof Everclear and Diesel in NC. If I'm ever in SC I stop in a rack up on the Everclear. I really just stick to the neutral spirits, straight or good for mixing too.
lol, yeah. I nipped that in the butt pretty soon.
I don't guess I can say much when I'll drive the tractor to the quickstop for diesel instead of filling up jerry cans. If I take cans I'm too tempted to fill up the truck while I'm at it.
Bugs the shit out of me when my fiance's momma will drive accross town to save 2 cent per gallon on half of a 16 or so gallon tank.
Thats another good reason as to why I won't get anything new. I feel bad enough scratching my diesel. Thats why I keep the old GMC on hand.
I'll agree...
I don't know how accurate the GPS is, but on the few times I've got to use it my speedometer was almost dead on with 265/75 tires. I've checked my odometer against yahoo and google maps and it is close enough not to make a difference when calculating fuel mileage. When my 285/75's wore out I...
I wonder what causes all the variances in 6.5L mileage. When My truck was bone stock it got about the same as it does now. With the 3.73 rear I get about 21 mpg on the open road and 17.5-18.5 mpg or so running in between Concord and Charlotte on NC-29 every other day. Worst I ever get is down...
