New Years WE, Part2 - Exhaust system replacement

TorcTite C/Ns The NAPA C/Ns for the TorcTite clamps is BK733-3224, cost was $12.69 per. They are what I would call Lap-Type, where one pipe fits inside of another. The other type, not needed for this system install would be a Butt-Type where both pipes are the same diameter and fit together.

New Years WE, Part3 - Vacuum Pump Removal

cooling mod Thanks, I'm pretty happy with the Dmax fan & clutch, when it kicks in, it moves some air! It seems like I could lengthen the bimetal coil tab about 1/8" and get the clutch to engage a little earlier (?). I'd be OK with 195 engagement (?). Right now it comes in a little past...

New Years WE, Part3 - Vacuum Pump Removal

This thread is the last I'm posting about my New Years weekend project. Only so much fun a man should have on any given weekend... I decided to remove the vac pump since I installed a turbomaster WG controller. Less stuff spinnning off the primary drive belt, to one day lock up far away...

New Years WE, Part2 - Exhaust system replacement

I'll be posting a several threads of some work I did over the New Years weekend. I'm not going to rehash a lot of what I've seen here and other forums, mainly because I've got limited time to do this web publishing. I will focus on points I have not seen discussed. Pardon the photo quality...

What a feeling new injectors make!

new injectors & GPs today Today I'm about to finish a project I started earlier this week: new injectors (NAPA Eichlin - Bosch 0 430 211 097, body stamped "India", old Bosch injectors were stamped "Germany"), ACDelco 60GS glowplugs. I was getting white smoke on startup, wasn't sure of the age...

no dashlights on radio and heatercontrol

The radio's bulbs are soldered in, I just replaced my radio with a used radio that had all good bulbs. Didn't feel like tackling that mini-project. I replaced all my climate control panel bulbs w/ new ones from NAPA. Believe it or not, the stealer said they don't have a listing for the...
