    Dex-Cool

Have many of you switched out the Dex-cool and put back the regular green anti-freeze? So far mine looks good, but at a local shop the owner gave me a trade magazine that shows the problems GM has been having. I would like to swap it out myself, but it is a large volume of coolant to deal with...

At work, a salesman from a lube company stops by and they are an Allison Dealer. He delivers the filters and so far 10 gallons of Transynd for me and gives me a good price.

    5er vs Pull behind

I've had a variety of RV's, A Class "A", Class "C", 2 travel trailers, and finally the 5th wheel. Class A and C were nice but I didn't like the idea of having to maintain another engine and drivetrain when I only used them 6 months out of the year. The TT was nice but harder to get into spots...

    Do you maintain your ride?

I have bought Baldwin oil filters by the case, but lately I wait until one of the chain stores offer Mobile 1 turbo diesel 5qts. and a Mobile 1 filter on sale so I've a backup supply of the Mobile and Baldwin filters. So far I've stayed with the Allison brand filter, and OEM fuel filter and air...

    5er vs Pull behind

A fiver tows so much better there is no comparrsion. You don't get sucked into buses or tractor trailers, no sway at all. I'll back into campsites that a TT will never be able to get into. Overall length is a big deal also. If you have a 30' TT add 4' off the back of your truck for the hitch,and...

    Do you maintain your ride?

I'll do all the fluids and filters myself, along with tire rotation. Changed the shocks, batteries and u-joints, brakes and such also. When it came time to install the pump rub kit I let the shop do it.

    Rotella??

Rotella is fine, both the dino and synthetic. I used both up to 50K miles before switching over to Mobile 1 turbo diesel, but would go back to the Rotella at any time. I found that my truck idles at about 5 psi higher with the mobile 1, so for now I'll stay with it.

How many miles are on your origional brakes?

I changed mine out at 55K, but they still had another 15K at least on them. I have 85K on my 02 Suburban, bought new front pads but they still don't need them.

    Best GPS

I have the Garmin Nuvi 350 for almost a year and am happy with it. Researched for a couple of weeks and it was a toss up between the Garmin and Tom Tom.
