Funny you should mention that...The circut DOES run the cig. lighter which stopped working shortly before this problem. I'm going outside to investigate!

Ok, I'll check there. I don't think the short is at the door hinge flex point because I pulled all of those wires out and unplugged each door, but a closer inspection won't hurt.
Thanks! :)

I know this isn't diesel related, but I'll try anyways...
I currently have a '99 Burb (Gas:rolleyes5: ) All of a sudden, the door lock fuse blew. I replaced it and it blew again. I disconnected the harness from every door and it still blows. :mad2: Any ideawhere the relay is so I can check...
Did GM ever offer the 6.5l with a 5 speed and cruise control? I hope to buy a '95 6.5 2500 'Burb. It is loaded but I don't *think* it has cruise. I have read before that you can put the stalk from a cruise equiped truck in and it will work. Anyone know about this?
Thanks!

Ok, I unplugged the Optical Sensor and the truck didn't stall. :) The lift pump definatly isn't working and the fuses are fine so I am assuming the OPS is bad. I told the owner to replace it with one he has on a different engine, or to just go buy a new one. I could tell there was a leak by...
I would do some research on putting the water in pre-turbo. A couple of guys i know that did this on cars had issues with the water eating the compressor blades. The water droplets hitting the fan that is spinning at 100,000 rpm sort of sandblasted it.:(

It depends on overall tire height. If you currently have 31" tall tires on 19.5" rims and you switch to 31" tires on 16" rims, there will be no change.

The lift pump did not energize with the key on or in start. I jumped it to 12v and got fuel from the t-valve. The owner had checked fuel pressure and only saw 3psi. I'll verify that next time I'm there.
Can I just put the gauge on the t-valve?
I will check for and fix any fuel or air...
Problem: Truck starts but only runs for about 30 seconds then simply stops. Just like you turned off the key. The lift pump was not coming on, this was the first thing I checked. I ran 12v to it and it pumps well. I don't know WHY the pump wasn't working but since the truck dies even with...
The lift pump is verified as good with the fuel drain t-valve test. The other thing is, the problem existed before the PMD replacement. I was misinformed when I first posted this. The new PMD was installed in response to the problem. I was planning on trying that anyways, just because...lol...
Ok, a little more info has come to life. I won't be able to see the ttruck in person until Tuesday, but hopefully we can come up with some ideas before I go out there...
The truck starts.
It runs for about 60-120 seconds and then dies. Kinda like it's running out of fuel.
It won't restart...
The truck is a '95. I'm betting it's the ground too. I thought of that last night after posting this. Before the change, it would start and run, but had stalling issues. I was me that sugested the PMD so he bought a remote mount and installed it. All this has been done over the phone and I...
a friend of mine recently replaced his PMD after some issues. It didn't come with a resistor. Now it won't start. As soon as I can, I'll fill out the check list asap, but in the mean time, will no resistor cause a nostart?
TIA

Personally, Id put a Burb tank in with a filler at the back and go to a scrapyard for the switching unit and dash switch out of a dual tank '87 and older style truck. It would take a bit of plumbing and such, but inthe end it will function just like it came from the factory like that.
