    Camping/RV Season What do you sleep in when you go camping?

    The interior of my K5 is stripped down to nothing, which makes it very easy to fit these 2 small waterproof camping mattresses i have back there. Wish there were more room, but me and my GF are both about 6' tall (i'm a very tall eskimo LOL) and we fit back there perfectly.

    I don't think it will make or break your build up, unless you were going for all out performance. All in all, a set of old 6.2 heads with the stronger rocker stuff and some diamond precups wouldn't make for a bad setup :D

    I was curious about this, because i have my 5079 pump in a box near my feet and i'm gonna do a refresh to it. I don't think i want to mess with them though. I'll probably turn the fuel screw down 1/8th until turbo time though.

    AFAIK it's was all original when i got it. The PO's might have changed it at some point but not since i've had it. The truck is highly optioned though (power w/l, cruise control, A/C, tilt steering, carpet, headliner, brushed aluminum trim, full door panels,etc.) so it might have come with that...

    Based on the year it should be, but you never know what engine was chosen by the RV manufacturer anyway. It was the first year they were introduced and might not have made their way to the RV manufacturer by that point.

    Leaky fuel injectors?

    I spent $450 on a set of new Stanadyne injectors. I didn't have a place to have them pop tested but i liked the piece of mind of having a brand new set to rebuild as many times as i can, plus it's the company who makes our pumps so i figured they had to be good LOL

    Sounds like it could be air in the coolant. I know my 98 gasser would make a similar wooshing sound when i had a bad intake gasket (different motors but same symptoms). The RPM fluctuations could be a possible headgasket issue, not sure how the computer controlled engines handle coolant bubbles.

    what glow plugs are you running and what do you think about them.

    The fear of breaking a glow plug tip off is why it took me so long to get around to actually replacing mine last fall. Now i don't worry about, even though i hadn't touched them almost the entire fall/winter, i was able to take all 8 plugs out in 10 minutes. Thanks to anti-seize :D
