Mine had that muffler or very similar on it. I took it off in search for more power and it made no difference in sound or power. I had a maxi torque chip in my 94 along with a Heath exhaust and I liked it much better than my Kennedy chip.

My exhaust is straight pipe and really resonates in the cab under heavy load. What mufflers are people running and do you like them?

Well the only noticeable difference is the SES light not on which is great. I just filled up with fuel to night to see if there's a mileage difference. Where I'm working is a 2700 foot climb. The first tank with this motor was 14 mpg. I'd like to see it improve.

Well what do you know there was no resistor in the pmd! Where did it go? I've had a ses light for quite some time but I thought it was my timing. Replaced the resistor and no more ses.

The truck is a 1995. What effect does a bad resistor on the way the truck runs?
