    New (to us) trailer

I'm looking back more to make sure compartments are staying closed. I have yet to replace the lock for the power cord, found out the lock for that compartment didn't work when I saw it in the rear view flapping in the wind. Duct tape to the rescue.

This is fantastic considering I'm on a 1 grand a month fixed income from my VA check with nary a f'in job in sight here in fallon or even in fernley. We found this tonight. Looked underneath everything every time we stopped and everything was fine...

    12/20/09 Seat belts,who uses them?

Glad to see so many people here are happy about making other people clean up the mess they leave. I had a nice call the other day. 15 y/o boy, ejected and killed... if he had been contained in the vehicle he would have survived. if you don't care about yourself, then care about the people that...

    Survival/camping gear?

Depending on what you're looking for, Ebay can also save you money. My water purifier, a MSR Miox, cost me 60 bucks from ebay when it would have been 120 for a new one here in town. Water storage? new food grade 55 gallon drums, and hit up your local fire department. At least up here we'll fill...

    Fuel consumption?

Awesome. Obviously I'll have to do testing at load, but that's good enough for my purposes now. Thanks!

    Fuel consumption?

I've got specific questions that I can't afford to "field test" myself right now. What's the hourly fuel consumption of a LB7 at idle, 1200 rpm high idle, and 1800 rpm high idle? Thinking of things and plans and it'd be nice to have numbers to work with.

Thanks for the brotherhood of 4x4ers!

That's why my winter ballast is 3 20' 1" link m88 tank recovery vehicle BII chains... I still keep a strap in the cab, but I prefer to use the chains when possible. They won't break.

    what type of plow?

No plow on my truck, but I've got a choice of blades depending on the job... 14-20 foot plow blades, buckets with wings... great equipment to use, warm cab and a stereo for between properties to service. Prefer to listen to the loader while I'm actually operating it.

Updated meyers plow and "lifted trucks"

doesn't matter... You'll find the few things that will make your day suck... this is coming from a guy who found a manhole cover plowing with a 544 Deere with a 14' steel cutting edge plow blade... broke the manhole cover in half and stopped the Deere straight in it's tracks.

    CUCV lighting problem

blackout lights kills every light in the truck, yes... meant for tactical situations where a light signature will get you discovered/killed.
  20. R

    So I got a CUCV

the only thing that's 24 volt is the starter and the charging system. Everything.. EVERYTHING... else goes through the brick sized resistor on the firewall to get fed normal voltage
