My son,s truck came with N inflated tires .The reason given was that the inflation sensors are sensitive down to 3 lb changes,so if filled with ordinary air the sensors would set off the" check air " thru normal tire heating/cooling.

Jeff, Other way around .The HD refers to a detergent oil.Agree in a 2 stroke engine detergent oil shouldnt be used as it doesnt burn as well as 2troke oil .Just wonder how critical this would be in our engines .

Good info Ratman re diff between oil for air cooled versus water cooled (marine). Never knew the diff. Assume the 30 wt. oil is non HD.? Often wondered if mutigrade would hurt. Can you tell us a bit about the home built. Had a Quickie kit years ago.

Did you get the oil level corrected ?

Could try making sure to keep tank reasonably full (say no more than a couple hundred miles before fillups). If problem doesnt recurr it may help to zone in on area of problem .

There was also quite a lot of discussion on a couple products on the other site a couple or so years back ,"steel seal" or something to that effect. Quite expensive & fair bit of work involved in using .Dont know if they were successful in high compression Diesel engines or not.

Someone did some tests one time & concluded there was no difference in temps on or off. Despite that ,mine is in the basement with a lot of other treasures.
