Have an ancient Diesel farm tractor that I,ve been nursing the starter along for quite some time . No problem getting enough current thru to close (click) the solenoid switch but to get enough current for the starter to crank the engine have to have all connections, negative & positive ,shiny...
Believe the 2 yr stanadyne pmd warranty was introduced with their new "improved" grey model .Cant recall how long ago it came out. If possible may be well to talk to a Stanadyne dealer or the company directly
Reason given for warning against overfilling, is the possibility of of the crank churning the oil ,& resulting in frothing , (airtrapping) . Doubt that would happen in this case (8qts) Maybe different opinions on this.
Have you tried plugging the block heater in , in case glos need some help. Also there is a coolant temp sensor (cts) on coolant crossover that if unplugged (temporarily) will give longer glo time .
Note you have new batteries but no longer charged up . Batteries need to be well charged & lots...
Wonder if pump not running with power directly to it might be caused by a poor ground , or did you run a separate ground when pwering directly ? Best to run dirctly from battery.
An alternative to moth balls is to use fleecy sheets . No scientific proof ,but they seem to have worked for our 5th wheel & the boat .And a nicer smell.
Some argue that its better to change oil before going into storage so that acid infested oil doesnt sit in engine all winter.

And I,ve had some recollection that iat,s reported to actually drop if boost is increased, using a tm ,from stock, up to 12 lbs or so before increasing? Something to do with getting more cool air into cylinder ?
My setup is somewhat similar , except trailer (5th wheel) is 30ft ) In regards to down shifting or locking unlocking of tc , mine will unlock only sometimes ,(a 150 -200 or thereabouts rpm drop). Then drop to 3d if need be .Other times it appears to drop directly to 3d from 4th locked to 3d...
