It all began with the failure of the AUX fuel tank!

Connect it to the ALDL port and see if it works-not all code readers work with 6.5's-sometimes they give the right code but the wrong definition.

It all began with the failure of the AUX fuel tank!

If it were running out of fuel it is unlikely that it would start right up the next day easily. It would have to self bleed and that takes a lot of starter cranking. More like the ignition switch is getting hot and losing connection on the ECM power contacts-when it cools down you are good to...

    trouble with connecting carcode

Not sure but the connection speed might have something to do with it?

    trouble with connecting carcode

No question it is very unfriendly, but I have not found it slow. I also found that mine only works on a 32 bit system and I think must be set for windows xp or older on compatibility?

    trouble with connecting carcode

There should be an options menu at the top of the screen, you need to go through that menu to find and adjust the port setting to match the port you are using on the laptop. Options, gateway, interface, scantool rs232 com port Might have to go into the control panel, system, device manager to locate...

It all began with the failure of the AUX fuel tank!

Returning to standard wiring from a balance module truck is pretty straight forward.

It all began with the failure of the AUX fuel tank!

The fuel balance module mounted just in frt of the frt LP is what controls both Lp's and the gauge. You could remove it and the rear tank if you wish and run on only 1 tank but it is small and would only give you a short distance between fills, not much more than 2 hrs on my when it acted up...

    Return Line Bubbles

Yea,I did a bit of research myself and did come across a picture of a 2000 sending unit with the return line tube-could be mine is incomplete.

    Return Line Bubbles

Could well be,mine never had a return into liquid fuel, nor did it ever have any siphon effect or hard start problems.

    Return Line Bubbles

Nothing needs to be in place to prevent fuel bleed back on the return side unless there is extreme vacuum in the tank and that problem needs to be dealt with on it's own. Otherwise the checkvalve in the LP is what prevents the pressurized side from having drain back.

Fluid Damper GROUP BUY. thru 13 Dec 12

Standard right hand thread,it helps to use something to lock the flywheel ring gear down like a flywheel holder,or alternatively a couple of pulley bolts in the balancer and a long bar that can reach the ground and bind across the bolts to hold the crank still. Same when installing 200ft/lbs is...

    Return Line Bubbles

Actually the return dumps into the top of the tank-the sending unit only has the suction side that extends to the bottom, the return is an open hole at the top.

    Return Line Bubbles

On the pressurized side I would agree with you on that statement, however the return side has no closure to it-the vent in the filler cap back through the tank itself, the return line and all the way to the injector return lines is open to the atmosphere. The topic has been posted before when...

    Return Line Bubbles

The atmosphere, the return lines are not an enclosed pressurized system beyond the IP outflow valve.
  17. racer55

    Return Line Bubbles

I think you are reacting to something that is not a problem. The return lines from the injectors only carry excess fuel when the injectors cycle. When the injectors are not popping there is no fuel flow so air takes it's place-you can't get away from having air in the injector return lines no...

Head gaskets best way to change them?

The proper way to do the pre cup installation is to keep track of how many thou is removed from the head surface with the precups removed, then countersink the precup recess with the proper cutter the same amount and re install the precups. Do not grind cut or alter the precups in any way.

Quality frt serpentine drive pulley option-besides dorman

After a mind boggling day at the Performance Racing Industry trade show I rediscovered a manufacturer that had slipped my mind.(yesterday) PowerBond is an aftermarket balancer producer who makes a widely used quality product and also produces balancers and drive pulleys for the 6.5,and made...

    setup for 26,000gcvw on a 6.5

As far as I know the axles/tires can not put more weight on the ground than they are rated for and the total weight of the combined vehicle and load must be covered by the tow vehicles registered weight or tag weight. The DOT would have to scale/weigh you to determine if you are overweight...
