It;s common practice and is not wrong in any way,but it is always better when things are machined for 1 thickness bearing and everything fits that way the first time-thats why I say have the crank ground undersize and you will be fine with that undersize bearing.
The factory has a wider variety of bearing halves to get the clearances they want.
During a production run tooling wears and allowances need to be made.
Might want to get your crank polished/sized so that journals end up the very same, then plastiguage or mic/bore gauge the bores/crank to be...
The free version is downloadable from the origin site-it lets you get a feel for it's capabilities before you purchase the software license and install the full version-no pirating involved.
For those who have a 94/95 it's the best available outside a tech 1 or tech II with OBD1 expansion...
As far as elastometer balancers and pulleys go there is another option-Powerbond is an Australian company who makes quality parts and are available form Motorstate vendors(US/Canada) and O'rielys in US.
Part# PB1194-N is the drive pulley $59.99 (6.2,6.5 with serpentine belt)
Part # PB1490-N is...
feel free
it also wouldn't be very hard to add a momentary switch in parallel with the 87a circuit using the hot side of the glow relay for filter priming.
I like the OPS relay mod but don't really see a need for 2 relays if a 5 terminal relay is used, note I should have added a fuse in the wire from the glow relay to the mod relay:
The truck had saddle tanks installed but I had to add a sending unit and also an automatic transfer pump using the stock wiring.
The only sending unit I could get was a 100 ohm unit and now when the saddle tanks are empty the balance module tries to keep moving fuel from them and the rear LP...
I would say you are lacking a connection-porobably ground for one of the sending units.
If you have a variable resistor or even a static resistor between 10 and 90 ohms you could put in the circuit in place of one sending unit at a time to discover which one is the problem.
When you...
I would also use some electrical cleaner on the contacts in the plug.
Sounds like a ground may have been disturbed as well-forget if the sending unit harness or balance module controls that?
Ok so on a slightly related subject,I bought carcode with only the VPW interface cable for our trucks.
Since most newer vehicles are now CAN I wanted to upgrade the cable but the author wants my spare right arm for the multi platform cable.
In an attempt to save money I bought a usb ELM327...
If I am not mistaken Leroy sells the metrum fuel rod float/resistor kit,I think it has to be fastened to a stock sending unit and only replaces the float and variable resistor for the gauge.
You should be able to get an aftermarket spectra sending unit fairly reasonable from a jobber/parts store, just don't use the supplied fuel sock that it comes with.
Put the stock sock back on or remove it completely and install a screen inline before the transfer pump.
As far as manuals go -I...
I suspect so.
The alternative is to remove the balance module and run only the frt tank, but it find it's small size a real problem.
My truck only has 2hrs range on the frt tank alone.
Had the same problem with my fuel gauge.
If you disconnected the aux tank sending unit you created your own trouble.
The dual tank trucks use a balance module that averages the readings of both sending units and sends that info to the gauge-both sending units MUST be connected and working for...
Ok with that new info it does sound like bad or no thermostats, yes it should have 2 t stats if the replacement engine took the same upper rad hose as the original-replace with AC Delco ONLY.
Can't comment on the PMD but would wonder if you have a failing ignition switch-no blower motor means...
It is giving you valid codes and descriptions-you got a good 1.
First code-check wiring and perhaps change out the coolant sensor in the water crossover manifold at the frt of the engine with AC Delco part only.
Second code-get a boost gauge connected and verify that the code is describing...
