The tansfercase pump actually rubs the casting and can rub thru. there are updated pump mods the use a thinner pump to keep it away from the housing. if you look at the t case on the back, look for little pecker tracks of oil. like i said, its not every truck, but everyone my trans guy has...

my 02 didnt have a problem and had 80k on it when i got rid of it. now my 06 has 30k on it and when the trans gets done monday it will get the update. my trany guy said he has seen alot and usally mods all the trucks that come in. cheap insurance. from what i have heard, its not if its when.

You will also see a noticeable difference in color and smell of the oil.

when ypu have the trans out, have them fix the "pump rub" problem that the transfer cases have. might as well take care of it while the trans is out.

I have an 8'6" meyer Xpress mount. the easiest by far to hook up, literaly 30 sec. i have had western and boss, i liked the western, motors were a little slow, HATED the boss. the boss plows are a nice concept but alot of maintanance. also with the boss, i always got curbs with the mount...
