Interesting, mine has had a bad hiccup when idling , especially since it has been cold and then it began cutting out badly, but only occasionally, and now it won't even start unless it is over about 60*, then it may run fine and it may not. I also have a D-tech mounted on a cooler.
I thought...
I used bags with internal bump stops, that way I didn't have to worry about it. Speaking from experience it is very much worth the trouble for the air ride, the ride qaulity is great and it will compensate for any load you throw at it.
I have a base Outlander 800 and I absolutely love it. I read alot about the power steering thing, but mine steers so easy now I can't imagine why it would need it and mine has 26" Holeshot ATR's on it which are far wider than the stockers. It rides great and will stretch your arms when you...
Mine is definately in the Lifted use it for daily section. There is basically nothing about it that's factory. i drive nearly everyday, tow bumper and gooseneck trailers, it rides like a dream with the air ride, has descent power with more to come, and when finished will be a very capable rock...
'07 Outlander 800 and I absolutely love it.
This is a pic pulling a freind's Yamaha 15 miles back to camp after he ran out of gas. Gotta love the EFI at altitude.
38x15.50/17 Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips and this is my second set. They are quiet for such an aggressive treaded tire, very similar to the BFG MT as far as sound goes. Very good road manners and they are excellent in the rocks. I used the last set in Moab and at Disney, OK at was very pleased with...
It's alot of fun. I just wanted to make it efficient, somewhat powerfull, ride good, rockcrawl good, and be able to safely load my quad in the bed. I just got a little carried away with it.
Thanks for the compliments guys, it helps make all of the time that I've spent on it worth it.
It is actually air ride all the way around, you just can't see the rear ones due to where I mounted them. The front is running a panhard bar so I could eliminate bump steer and the rear is...
I doubt if anyone will get any ideas from mine, but here it is.
You'll have to excuse the colors, I want to get everything finished and tested before I paint it.
I installed a 6" "no-name" $1000 kit on a friends truck and it turned out to be a Pro-Comp lift. And you don't want my opinion on what would be the best way to lift your truck, it would start with a cutting torch and a sawzall.
I even went so far as to put a 6.5 in my truck...even removed a 350 to do so. Nobody seems to get what the holes in my bumper are for though :disappointed:.
I haven't ever done alot of driving in the gravel, but like others have mentioned, the BFG A/T's last forever. I ran a set on my wife's Blazer, at 65,000 I replaced them because they were begining to dry crack, but they still had enough tread for my buddy to get another 5-8000 miles out of them...
Thanks for the compliments guys. The conversion wasn't overly difficult, just time consuming. I'm hoping to be able to build a new engine for it sometime next year, with all the good stuff including a new A Team Turbo that I've been reading about on here.
Hello all, I've been a member of the DieselPlace for a while and just found this site. I have been reading through some of the posts here and recognize alot of names, so I know I'm in good company.
My rig is very different from most of what you guys are driving, but it's a diesel and yes I...
