I ran the P/N number on google. A decent amount comes up, articles refering it as an aircraft turbo. Someone said on a forum it's used on MRAPS by the military.

Looks like an awfully big turbo to me to be put on a 6.5. It would be...
I use opti-lube at 1/4 oz per gallon. I haven't quite figured out if i'm a little too thin with it or not. Mileage seems to be slightly better with it.
They told me on the phone that you can put it in the engine oil too. Have you ever tried that? I'm hesitant to try without talking to a...
For that price you can about buy a new GEP longblock. I couldn't tell if that's what he had but just didn't know how to word it, or he knew it wasn't what he was hyping it up to be and was just playing with the words. Ebay is notorious for that.
Yea i'd visit in person before I even thought...
Not trying to thread jack you here sir, but..
..I have 2 wait to start lights on my 96 gmc. One to the left of the tach, that never lights up, and one above the tach, that's the one that lights up. Anyone else have that?

Has anyone ever seen this before? I wonder what kind of 6.5 these are. Are there other...
Electric fans don't flow as much but you also aren't taxing the engine to make it cool itself. So shouldn't it kinda be 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other?
I always heard the first years of the 4l80e were the best. I've been told the GM bean counters got to it after a couple years and really weakend it up.
Never been able to prove that though, so i'm not totally sure.
Storm, is the turbo center mount or side mount?
Johnson Controls is building a huge manufacturing facility down here in Florence, SC. It's not done yet but they will be building batteries here from what I've heard. Maybe we'll see an increase in quality. That or they'll just ship in cheap import materials and assemble them here to brand...
War Wagon, so you're saying stack 2 exhaust manifold gaskets on the passenger side to allow more room for the injectors and lines to clear?
I see you've used ARP studs for your heads. Have you had any leaking issues at all? If not what did you do to prevent leaking, i've been reading about...
Are you talking about ceramic coating?
That would be very convenient if the 93 had 6.5 heads and I could just swap injectors when the time comes. Would the lines off the DB2 match up correctly? Would there be enough clearance on the passengers side?
Just an update, I kinda forgot.
After a month or so of the issue, it finally threw an engine code at me. Crankshaft position sensor. I swapped it out with a good AC Delco replacement, and it's been going on well over a month without anything what so ever.
Yea that's what I figured a 6.2 rebuild would cost and a little extra for boost and pyro gauges.
Reason I wanted to use the 6.5 heads was I just bought injectors for it, not a big deal really, new delphis aren't that expensive anyways.
Like I said, i'm planning ahead. I'm going to run...
Well i'm going on past 300,000 miles and I know there can't be much more life left in it. My 6.5 still runs great and is averaging 18ish mpg, but i'd still like to have a good plan. I'm trying to figure out the best and most economical option for it.
I've got the 93 model 6.2 with 130,000...
That's interesting that the S10 sells so well over there. I've seen videos of the colorado in other countries with a v6 turbo diesel.. They say it gets around 25 mpg average if I remember correctly.
Burning oil, do you have a thread going about your Isuzu swap? Which engine are you using, I...
Orrum, companies like sprint now have phones and plans that you can pay I think $10 or so a month and your phone will become a mobile hotspot and feed internet to other devies, like a laptop. You can go to walmart and talk to them about that option for just cheap simple internet. Especially if...
