EBC GreenStuff 7000's and USR rotors went on today.
So far I'm impressed. After I got done bedding them in, they are certainly stronger than the stock brakes.....stronger than the tires, that's for sure.
I'll put the Ultimax rear pads on and turn the rotors later this week.
Here's the...
HOLY CRAP!
I turned the power back up last night and DAAAAAAAYUM!
Damn thing scared the crap outta me!
You wanna talk about pulling hard?......I only got into it half throttle from a roll and it was pushing me in the seat.
That new cam lights the chargers QUICK. The bottom end is nuts.
It's been busy, that's for sure.
I got my truck up and running on Monday and I've been non-stop since then on other trucks until last night.
Been in the shop until 10 - 11 each night trying to get them out. Finally caught up today.
I'll let ya know as soon as we lock in a date for the...
So here's what the cab looks like now.....more like a damn cockpit.
This is why I did the oil pressure gauge. Tells ya a little different story than that dummy gauge on the dash.
PSI at idle.....
PSI at 1000 RPM.....
PSI at 1500 RPM.....
Well, tomorrow I need to re-torque the head studs and valve lash and change the oil and then it's getting the power turned on.
It'll get another check at 500 miles and 100 miles and then it's game on.
Yeah, I think we're going to push it back 2 weeks though, toward the end of March.
This year was still a bit cold and rainy.
Around the end of Sep / beginning of November, we'll lock in the date for the shop weekend.
As soon as I get 1000 miles on the motor.
Once everything is good and seated, I'll put it on the dyno for tuning.
First 3 pulls will be hardware only, no tuning, no water, no meth, no nitrous, so I can get a good base line of where it's at.
On motor only it should be close to or at 500...
Electric fans, no grid heater, entire fuel system removed, all new electircal system AND NO CODES BABY!
She's runnin' like a champ.

Took it out for a ride and it was smooth as glass.
Here's some pics to hold ya over until I get the video done.
Thanks guys!
I appreciate the words of encouragement.
Hopefully today we make some fire and everything goes off with minimal fuss.
I'm sure they'll be a few little things.....there's just too that got done to not have something pop up.
As long as the oil pressure comes up and nothing...
Tomorrow should be it.
Got 'er almost 100% complete now.
Gotta make the trans lines tomorrow, put the intake and charge pipes back on, top off the fluids and make a final check of everything.
Got a lot done today.
Flushed the fuel lines, swapped the filters on the FASS and primed the...
My problem is all 4 tires soming unglued, not just the rear.
But, a set of traction bars and drive shaft loops are the next thing on the fabrication list.
Hopefully we get 'er fired tomorrow, but I'm planning on Monday.
Today, all the electrical got done and the return fuel line got finished.
Finally got to turn the key on after 2 months and everything came right to life.
Tomorrow I gotta finish tightening up some wiring, need to flush...
