    Totally normal. The ECM varies the pressure to maintain a smooth idle. Mine fluctuates between 6400 and 7200 at idle.

    That's right where it should be. The '03 and '04 trucks idle at ~5K psi. The 04.5+ trucks idle at ~6.8K psi. The 03/04's have and 8 hole injector nozzle with smaller holes, requiring less pressure to atomize. The 04.5+ use a 5 hole nozzle with larger holes. And yes, the motors on some of...

    Today was "clean the trans and get it ready for assembly" day. Started cleaning everything up and decided to repaint the case. I think I found the perfect color and texture for it. Black and Hammered! All the parts from here are the over drive sections.....

    That's actually not a water separator, it's just a pre-screen to keep trash out of the lift pump. And yes, that can get funked up.

    The 12V has a mechanical lift pump. And yes, 45 psi is ideal on the P-pump. The VP44 and CP3 likes to be between 10 - 20 psi, with 13 - 17 bing ideal.

    Well, good thing I broke the trans down. The clutch packs and band were SMOKED. I had 2 sets of steels and frictions that were welded together and the band was nicely burned. Mmmmmm.....check out this little bit of sexyiness.
