Just watch it with the e-fans.
They're not rated for as many CFM as the engine fan is.
The normal engine fan is rated at approx 8000 CFM. The e-fans, like the Flex-A-Lite 264's that are on mine are rated at 5500 CFM and are not recommended if you gross over 18K lbs.
I really don't have...
Ahhhhh, ya big sissy. Over rated!
(coming from the guy that moved the dryer and had to make all new AC lines to accomodate go fast parts and WOULD NOT be without AC)
:rof:
Just for comparison sake.....
Here's my twin setup with one high and one low so you can see where you might gain some clearance by flipping it.
Just a suggestion.....
Lookin' good!
If the down pipe is hitting firewall, is there any reason you can't flip the exhaust manifold and put the turbo on the bottom.
Not sure what you have in the way there......
Suppossedly running around.....not ARE running around.
No one has seen them or gotten any results yet.
Like I said, if it was out and running around and in a beta stage, I'm sure it would be floating around places like CompD and there hasn't been anything on it yet.
I hope it does come...
Yeah, READING the ECM has never been the issue.
WRITING to the ECM is the problem.
You can get in and view the tables and such, but they're so twisted and interlinked that making one change that you think is for, say boost, and you may also be changing another parameter.
They've been...
Suppossedly a few beta's are running around, but I haven't actually seen or heard from anyone that is a tester.
Haven't heard anything on CompD which is where I'd expect to see something on as soon as it was out.
It's actually just barely big enough.
Really it needs a little larger flange than the 4" that it has, but routing the piping bigger that 4" would have been a PITA.
I wanted to use 5" piping, but the only way I could route it, without reclocking the secondary and running the charge pipe...
I want to try and get it back on the dyno next week and get it all tuned in.
Not sure when we'll get it back on the track, the one by me is closed Dec & Jan.
Right now I'm just enjoying driving it.
They're rated at 3100 lbs each.
Don't confuse capacity with "load range". Load range simply refers to the number of plies in the tire.
C is a 6 ply, D is an 8 ply, E is a 10, etc....
Those letter ratings have nothing to do with the actual capacity of the tires.
Got 'er all cleaned back up today.
Runnin' like a champ. I haven't even touched the throttle yet.....I mean I have MAYBE given it 15% - 20% throttle and there is almost no lag at all. They actually feel faster than the ATS setup.
But anyways, here's some cleaned up pics of 'er today.
Whenever you put on a new turbo(s), you wanna give them a couple hundred miles to break in the journal bearings. If it's a water cooled, ball bearing type turbo, you can pound on it right off the bat. It's not good to do to journal bearing turbos though.
They'll be a little tight for the...
Well, she's almost ready to stuff back in.
Got it almost all buttoned up tonight.
I still gotta figure out what the hell I want to do for the intake, but otherwise, it's about ready to drop in.
Here's the coolant line elimination.....
Drive pressure line...
