    First upgrades

Even after all the bad I have read on here about these fuel gauges, I also thought that was very extreme.

I was afraid that was the case from what I have read on here.

    First upgrades

Thanks, it runs just under 210 without towing. Not sure about cat converter, need to check and see. Are these fuel gauges horribly inaccurate, or do I have a bad one. It goes past full when filling up. I had about 150 miles when it dropped to just under full last night. Get in it this morning...

    First upgrades

What would you recommend for the initial upgrades to the engine? I think relocating the pmd will be my first project. I dont really tow heavy or a lot, but I already see I want some mods to bring the engine temp down a bit before even towing with it, not that it will help engine temp, just a...

nerf bars for ext cab 1 ton

Thanks, I checked out those sites. Pretty cool stuff. But the one Im looking for is like a nerf bar with a step at the rear.

    Digital gauges

I kinda like the all 3 in 1 gauge set up, but the gauge appears to be big and gawdy. Just trying to figure out which way to go.

nerf bars for ext cab 1 ton

I have a 1994 GMC 1 ton 4x4 ext cab dually. I have the full running boards, but dont really like them. Im thinking about nerf bars. I have seen a set on here I believe that have an actual step plate at the rear. Does anyone know of a link or where to find these?

    Gulf coast by pass filter

some guys mount them under the hood of a semi, but I didnt like tha idea. Mine was mounted on the frame behind the cab. easily accessible and "supposedly" the oil runs a bit cooler not being under the hood. I understand it should, but Im not sure how much lower. I may remove the auxillary fuel...

    Passed that test.

Good info fellas, I did it according to one of the websites reccomended by alot of people here. But they didnt mention these things that you guys did. I will make sure all of that is good to go and check it again. Thanks.

    Auxillary fuel tank

previous owner only had it a few months and didnt know much about it. He was leery of it and didnt use it. It is a Transfer Flow inc., it has a toolbox about 10 or so inches deep that covers the top completely. After looking under the truck I believe it will pull fuel from either tank depending...

so thats not a good test???? I was wondering if it was.

    Gulf coast by pass filter

cant remember which it is deejaa. But i cant imagine that big sucker being under the hood. I would put it in the bed before under the hood myself.

    Gulf coast by pass filter

it wouldnt fit under the hood, would have to be a remote mount like on a semi. It takes 2 filters, each about the size of a large roll of paper towels. I guess it wouldnt really be practical as large as it is. It is a cloth type filter.

    Auxillary fuel tank

the truck I just bought has an auxillary fuel tank in the bed. Its the pretty common one with the shallow toolbox in the top. Anyone familiar with these? Wondering what capacity it is. A guy told me 60 gallons, but we all know how that goes.
