Blowing coolant out the overflow tank. Head gasket or block??

I can't comment on most of your questions as I have never done a job like that. At least on these diesels. Hopefully won't have to..... Small block chevys another story. :smile5: But it sounds like this would be a good time for a turbo master type set up, boost guage, and a vac pump delete...

    What a day....

It looked to me that if you we replacing the switch that relatively inexpensive other part shoud go with it. I'm not too sure what it is, but may be the springy thing that is activated by turning the key. As Aces said, PM 94K30. He may be able to help you better. Art

    What a day....

It doesn't look anything like mine that's for sure. I did a search as well, and what you are looking at seems to be the part. Good luck, Art

    What a day....

I had to do mine a few months ago and it did solve all the problems. I don't have air bags. I searched and can't find much on DTR about ignition switches and replacement. But here's some links to check. I would also suggest that it is not simply the tumbler, but the switch itself. I'm not sure...

    Mystery bolt...

I just did the Heath SD cooling upgrade that entailed removing the AC condensor and bracket. That bolt looks just like one or more of the bolts that go thru the condensor and into the bracket/block. Art

(6/10/09) Do you have a name for your truck?

Yep, Sabre.... Not quite sure how or why. I think my better half named her. Maybe from the stance of her when observed from the front. Looks ready to "pounce" on something (as in sabre tooth tiger). :smile5: Art

Gettin' the mods in 'er done!

Matt: We don't use as much salt around here as you may think. Salt loses it's effectiveness when it's really cold. And it is really cold here much of the winter. Mostly we use sand. Not to say we don't use any, but... Everything came apart with no problem. The amount of leaves, dead bugs, dirt...

Gettin' the mods in 'er done!

Pretty much done for now... Got the Heath EXTRA Heavy-Duty Cooling System Upgrade done last week. Pulled the grille and rad. Cleaned the piss out of rad and the other coolers. Took 3 cans of scrubbing bubbles until I was satisified. I couldn't believe the crud/crap that came out. Lots of fins...

93 6.5TD Running warm and other problems

I removed my rad yesterday and after straightening fins, started spraying, washing, washing, spraying...... Actually ran out of scrubbing bubbles and had to go for more. I can't believe the amount of CRUD that came out. Bugs, dirt, small stones, more dirt..... And not just from the rad. Between...

Anaerobic sealer - what is it? where can I get it?

I will be doing Heath's cooling upgrade starting Tuesday. Including pulling and cleaning the hell out of the radiator. I will plan on taking a bunch of pics to create some sort of "how to". But in the instructions it says to use an "anaerobic sealer". I've googled it and found out that it is a...

Gettin' the mods in 'er done!

Hi idle and TCC mods done Thanks to the members here and to their how-tos, I did these mods. Because I had nothing better to do (although the wife had other ideas) I got them done yesterday. Fairly easy mods, but time consuming with cutting the holes, installing the switches, pulling the PCM...
