    I remembered, hard to imagine me remembering something. Cranked the engine over and its an almost immediate fire up. Seemed the tach needle did not move at all while cranking over the engine.

    If it has a trailer light plug check all that extension wiring. Look for any place there might be a rub through.

    Muriatic acid also works real well and is available at most any lumber or hardware store. The cleaned surfaces will flash rust in very short order once tank is flushed with hot water.

    I used to mainly do a visual on such as that. Look at pushrod ends, are they beginning to appear sort of going to a point shape ? ? ? ? Rocker shafts on the bottom/pressure side, how much wear and is there any galling going on ? ? ? ?
