I figured out why it's leaking. The injector lines I bought from ssdousche 70 thousand miles ago have a much shollower flare on them then stock. So if the lines were torqued down too tight the first time, they will never seal up again because the washer that pushes against the flare is pushing...
Thanks guys. It makes perfect sense. What is happening is an action like an air over oil strut. The injection pump is injecting fuel into the line, but all it is doing is compressing the air in the line to the same pressure the pump is making. Three lines were bleeding themselves however...
I hate to even throw this up on a thread because I have no idea what is going on. Here's what I have done. I rebuilt my injectors, and set pop pressure. Replaced fuel filter manager and did FTB mod. Replaced the injection pump. Bled the fuel system at t valve and at top of fuel filter...
I read through this posting twice and I was wondering if I missed it or what. Is there a link of where to get the best price on shims? Are the new german nozzles available and is there a link for where to get them. Can the german nozzles be installed on any injector brand? Before I found...
Anyone think that maybe theres an issue with the brake switch. Kind of odd that the cruise control and the tcc not locking up all of a sudden at the same time. The brake switch controls both of them doesn't it? The cruise control will be on then just all of a sudden shut off, but the tcc...
So the torque signal pressure the scanner is reading is what it is trying to hit and not the actual? That sucks. Guess I'll be fassioning a gauge and line setup. If it comes to it, how hard is it to replace the force motor. Also, where would I find the sure cure kits you are talking about...
why plug a gauge in? Can't I just watch the screen with the gmtdscan tech? Or could the sensor be malfunctioning? Just took for a test drive. Trans pressure in the 90's. Cruise control is intermittent. Sometime it works and sometimes it doesen't. Force motor running at .74 amps. All trans...
Harnesses and pins look fine. Removed ground cluster cleaned all connections and dielectric greased. Checked tranny fluid. I changed the fluid last year. It was new and didn't smell burnt. Nice and red. Test drove and ran codes again. 68 Trans component slipping and 83 TCC PWM solenoid...
Hey guys, got one for ya I couldn't research myself. I drove the truck yesterday and the torque converter wasn't engauging. I confirmed with GMTD and it threw active code 83 TCC PWM solenoid circuit with 39 TCC stuck off, 68 trans component slipping, 83 TCC PWM solenoid circuit, and 81 2-3...
What is the variable resistance controller on the gmtd scan cable interface for. What is the difference in that cable interface and just a regular aldl to usb interface? Please don't just say, "it has a variable resistor in it!" Thanks guys.
I'm glad to all of you who have found this thread usefull. I did make a tool and like everything I do, I went overboard. I made it out of threaded rod and the bolt I bought from fastenall. The most important part is the thrust bearing. It makes the job very simple. I also can't stand the...
Rock Auto #3945 Timken seal. Same as on helos. Good seals. $6.25 plus discount.. Fastenal can get you the M16-1.5 50mm grade 8 bolt to make the installation too for 4 bucks too. Best price on the bolt around. Trust me I looked everywhere. Try finding anything other than 2.0 pitch on an...
You were spot on about the seal Steve93mustanglx. I am an idiot for not replacing it when I was in there. Oh well. This weekend I'm going to pull out the radiator and give it it's yearly spit shine, before plowing season. Anyone know where I can get a snout bolt? I want to make an...
