    Cleaning Old Craftsman Sockets

My dad collects antique tools. I believe he puts rusty stuff in vinegar. But I'm with stacks04. Take 'em in and see if they'll give you a new one.

    Tool Preference?

My first tool set was given to me at age 16 by my parents. I still have most of them, and am now 50. I think the regular craftsman end wrenches are now of less quality than 20 years ago or more. They're much thicker and heavier and harder to get in tight places. But for the price, it's hard to...

    Trouble With Interference

Hmmm......... I'm ignorant. What exactly is a pyro guage, and what type of sensor does it use?

    6.5 Warm Start Problems

The batteries got to where it wouldn't even turn it over if it sat for a few days. Took it in to the store where the batteries were purchased, and they hooked up some kind of little meter that tested CCA, voltage, etc. One battery was good, and the other delivering only 445 of 850 CCA. The meter...

    American made?

I'm thinking the Kawasakis are "made" in Lincoln, Nebraska, but I'm not betting my life on it.

    Any trips for holloween?

Glad to see the helmets on everyone. Looks like everyone is having a great time. I turned one of those things over one time on a little hill not 6' high. It would have really hurt if it would have landed on top of me.

    Smokin' deal!

That is a really nice trailer. Wish they would make them so you could drive a skid loader up the back end. Lots of issues with inter-state equipment hauling and heavy trailers. No such requirements for rv type rigs. Of course, perhaps the better solution would be to get rid of the skid loader...

    Smokin' deal!

Nice toys!! A simple solution is to buy a bigger toy hauler :)

    Kawasaki Bayou 300 4x4

How old is the battery? Maybe it just won't hold a charge? I have no knowledge specific to your machine, but see if you can do a little trouble shooting. For example, get a voltage meter and see if you're getting the correct voltage a the battery terminals. If you can determine which wire goes...

    Hauling hay

There could sure be some chiggers in uncomfortable places, and she's in for some bad scratches if she's buck'in bales in that outfit. I married the gal that used to come out to help me lookin' like that.

    Trouble With Interference

When you say the problem is present with the key in the "run" position, does that mean with the engine running? If the source is a conductive emmission, I'm guessing there will be as much noise on the battery as any where else. With the engine running, or what ever condition creates the...

    New impact

Nothing better than an impact wrench to save the knuckles. I use mine any place I can get it to fit.

    Benefits of GooseNeck Trailer

I bought my goose neck trailer to drag my skid loader and attachments from Sioux City to my farm near Abilene, Kansas, about 300 miles. The goose neck trailer puts the weight directly over the axle, rather than on the back end of the truck. This keeps the front end from becoming light and...

    Is this worth my time?

SmithvilleD.........The DM 100OBD is cool. Do you have to buy and hook up individual sensor modules for each sensor? I'm ignorant on diagnositc equipment, but isn't there something that would plug directly in to the main controller (assuming there is such a thing), and read directly off that...

    Soot Trap / Diesel Cat

Given the choice between eating something that swims and something that walks, I'll take the one that walks. Now given the choice between walking on two legs or four, I prefer four. Guess that means I'll eat the cat before the gold fish. Louis and Clark took along some dogs to eat, so it can't...

    Pictures of new truck

Nice looking truck, congrats............ Nice running boards, too. It's hard to tell from the angle, but is the diamond stuff just on the bed flat surfaces, or does it go clear across? Also, looks like you got a new alternator and batteries, so you should be good to go with that. Good luck and...

    Soot Trap / Diesel Cat

Lots of room here in the mid-west if you want to escape hitler, but the commies and marxists are trying to take over here, too. For now we can still have our diesel trucks and all the guns we want. Pretty sure they'll eventually want to try to take both and put us in goofy electric bubble cars...

video on how a rear diff works

That was cool, and, I might add, quite educational. Can you imagine a company making public a video these days of occupants getting out of their car and running on spools attached to the wheels? We live in a different world.

    763 bobcat question..

Bobcat has a good website with spec's for every machine. I'm sure you can run the engine with the cab tilted forward. My Case cab tilts forward by removing two large bolts then pulling it forward. There's a gas shock that pushes it up, and a lock that keeps the cylinders from coming down...
