If it weren't for bad luck i'd have none :mad2:
I'm on the move to SE sask, hense the flatland fireball #2 comment.
Blew the head gasket in my 96 a couple of weeks ago, crap, sh*t happens. So here i am using my 94 w/the Cummins to get stuff moved, cruising down the highway w/the Cummins...
Thanks Golds, gotta be in the valve train somewhere (i hope). It didn't do it on a cold fire this morning or most of the day. Then started it and it was woofing again, shut it down and restarted and all was well. I'm not 100% sure yet but i think its staring to use some antifreeze too, light...
Well i fired it up from cold, woofing or popping is there, getting more pronounced as it warms up, hasn't gone away on several restarts now. Damn thing is running smooth too, now i'm peeved...
I'm sure i changed the glows when i purchased it, just don't recall what i put in it. If it were the mystery gasket i wouldn't have thought it would have corrected itself but i have yet to start it today, if a glow is down i'll know for sure.
I'll try to update the sig sometime later today.
Daily driver, truck rarely sits more then a day and yes it was more of a popping sound but it went away after i started it the 3rd time. It wasn't cold at all, had just driven over 2 hrs, boosted the Cummins truck and was only shut off about 30 min's when it was started again.
Original gutted...
Did it when i started it while running. Kinda sounded like a vacuum pump but 100 times louder, pulled the filter cover and it got way louder, like it was pushing air out the intake. Figured i was toast till it quit on about the 3rd start.
Hi ya'll long time no posty... hehe. Been a rough go for me lately.
Anyhow, i have a question that may already be answered.
Today i fired up the 96 GMC after already driving for 2 hours. It started woofing out the intake (air filter) real bad, engine didn't shake at all, i shut it down and...
I honestly haven't done anything with it yet, no proper tools and a bit lazy i guess. I'm pretty sure moving the pump a touch will pretty much fix it all but its been running so damn good i'm not touching it yet. I just ignore the light for now.
As i understand its the selonoid closure time in the IP, prior to 96 i believe it would set a code on OBDI above 2.20ms. Not sure where it sets a code on OBDII. Also i've heard the more current draw you have the higher the C-time, haven't seen it myself though. Its something i always watch when...
Thanks, yup that one is a little large for emailing, even if you can host them for a day or so and let me know the link i can download them over night or something, that would be great. Or do the mail thing, let me know.
I had made some video's that were available on the other site linked to some pages i had created, but since i took those sites down, changed computers and had a HD crash does anyone have any copy's they could email me since i've lost them all?
Let me know and i'll pm you my email address...
Well i upgraded to the new version of AE, it has all the readings i needed, found out my TDCO is -2.46, no wonder i got codes. Seems the pump needs a little movement and i need the time to get r done.
I got the email, all i know is after a period of time the software won't work if you upgrade to the new version otherwise you'd have it free for 10-20 years and the newest version to boot, if you never upgrade your version will work forever, i made the goof of upgrading already a few times as...
