How soon to change fluids from factory

Rear diff has a 500 mile break-in. I ran mine 500 miles unloaded, then 500 towing the trailer. Then I changed the fluid. There was a ton of metal in it. Ran the truck 50k. Changed the fluid again. It was almost as clear as the new stuff I put in.

    egt temps?

I've seen 1802. Peak, short burst. My gauge starts to flash a warning at 1300. When I'm towing I don't like to over that. If I hit 1350 I'll start backing out until drops below 1300.

    Towing Driving Habits?

Cruise and T/H is always on when towing. The truck takes to long to down shift, so I force a down shift when needed by locking out O/D. I also set the cruise and lock out O/D on certain down hill runs (I80 west in to Sac). As long as traffic permits...I can do almost the entire stretch with out...

    Lopsided bag, help me

I had the same problem with one of mine. I had to widen the holes in the upper bracket and mount the u-bolt off to one side to get mine straight. Passenger side for me.

    PPE dyno # ?'s

Larger tires will knock the torque down but most times not the HP. I disagree. The 20% rule (for duramax/allison equiped GM 3/4 & 1 Ton trucks) is a lot more repeatable than dyno operators, weather conditions and dynos...
