Not jumping ship, I like my Gm product, the last new one I will buy as long as the government and the UAW is in ownership of GM, just giving some credit were it is due. Ford has had no problems over all than any of the big three when it comes to quality. The 6.0 has some issues with quality...
It is ignorant plain and simple. I do not understand. I was reading truck and trend mag the other day and they were praising the 1500 silverado hybrid getting 18/21 city/ highway mpg, do these brain dead people not realize that they could get 25/30 mpg and less pollution from these new clean...
There is an actuator that switches the duct reroute to select hot or cold air. I was told by the dealer that these can go out, my truck did this once and never has done it again.
The 5r100 torqushift is actually pretty stout in the stock form, in stock form I believe it will hold more than the Ally in stock form. The older ford autos 4R100, and E40D behind the 7.3 power stroke were pretty pathetic and the weak link in that truck configuration.
No beating from me, IMO each of these trucks have their pros and cons, and every brand has their issues, if it puts a smile on your face and gets from A to B and burns #2 its all good.
I have been thinking( not real seriously at this point) about putting a 12valve into a 1999-2003 f350. If I did this and they start doing diesel emision testing what they go by Vin number or what. Would this be a problem, with making it all legal?
