The 85 tune, in my opinion, is the most drivable tune out of the 4. It's always shifted great and felt super light on it's feet.
Mike, yours smokes when you nail it? I hardly ever got any smoke at all, just a light haze after the first second or two. That's what I liked about it. I'm not into...
Bill, the Predator reads and clears all kinds of codes. It just doesn't block any from recurring, such as EGR delete. Not sure what you meant or anything but I thought I'd clarify.
The bottom line is that you cant beat that thing for $300 brand new.
The preloaded tunes can keep clearing the codes when they pop up but for the LBZ, they do not have the capability to block the EGR codes.
Last time I checked anyways.
It's got an older program loaded into it than your current ECM tune.
I just sent mine to Odlaw and his did the same thing. Weird this is that it works fine with my truck. It needs to be updated.
There's 1 more model year. Hopefully, I'll end up getting one since I'm over 70k now on my 07 and at 2000 miles a 2 week pay period that I put on that thing, I'll be at 100k in no time.
They're good engines. There's no doubt about that. They just dont make any power. They sound good and are...
Essentially the same motor thats in the Crown Vic, except those are rated at 250/297.
Those are good motors but just underpowered. If they can squeeze over 300 h.p. out of a V6, why cant a V8 make more than 250?
Yeah but it'll cut itself off after 30 seconds or so. I think the relays get hot and automatically shut it off to prevent it from melting. I rarely use it. I have a hard enough time not blowing tires, (blew my 4th one last night) let alone losing my lights out in BFE at midnight. These bulbs...
Well, hard to tell right off the bat. I do work some dark roads and zipping down them at 100 is pretty normal getting from point A to B.
The high beams are pretty good. I always thought that the regular bulbs (with the harness) had pretty good high beams anyways. It seems that the color is a...
I'd have to see it in person to see if they're really as bright or brighter than the standards 2 dollar bulbs or not.
BTW, thanks for the nightwawks. They're in and running full speed with my harness. They do work well and do provide some decent light. Thanks again.
There are a few guys that make their own here.
When made properly, its supposed to be good to clean the crap out of the fuel system. It doesn't generate as many BTU's so it won't burn as hot. And in the winter months up north, you won't be able to run it at all unless you've got a fuel...
Well, it's measured in two different ways.
1, the amount of light transmittal and 2, the actual percentage of the tint.
The 1st way tells you how much light actually makes it through the window.
The second way tells you exactly what percent the tint is.
Now, all the glass in our...
My tint is friggen dark. I cant see a thing at night. I dont think additional lights would even help. I have to put the windows down to be able to see anything.
Its great during the day time though.
Barry, here's a couple pics of the part that you need to take out.
Take the intake off. Just the end piece with the fins, pop it out. Cut the fins out leaving just the plastic ring and the rubber seal. Clip the ring back onto the intake and reinstall the intake.
Pretty simple.
