you didn't mentino the grounds. these engines are driven 100% by computer, and each system needs the ground to work including the one from your PMD harness (FSD) to the IP. Very important.
Remove them all, wire brush, and re-install. There are a few in the back of the engine that run down...
I am so jeolous of that and TCC lockup mod... better blocks too..... Just ugly interior!...
That is dirt cheap for a scanner. You could probably pick up a laptop capable of running that for 100bux or less on CL.
FWIW I always heard Ceramic do better when they are under load, which is why I use them as I'm always 9-10k. Also no rusting brake dust, and they hold their beef.
Just be easy with it, don't blast anywhere near wiring harneses. Use it for the frame and diffs and stuff. I woulnd't blast the block all too much with it.
Around here they seem to go for a grand... If you can snag one up for 500 or so, absolutely do it.
I've seen complete intake/turbo manifold exhaust on the bay for a few hundred, and when you buy an ATT throw the GM-X on the military unit :)
IF you 2 man bled them until no more air came out, they should be bled. Did you clamp the lines when you swapped calipers? If so, your golden as far as bleeding goes. IF not, you still should be good, but it is easy to bleed them again with 2 men.
I run ceramic pads on stocker rotors...
Great mod. Thanks JD. This will save alot of people money. May help 'freshen' up old clutches, and dial in kick on ealier will make most of us happier. Price is right too.
Saved me 250 bux I would have spent in the fall.
Lol same here... I'm going to give this a shot until I can visually see through it.
FWIW, a few years back I compressed air the piss outta my radiator, not knowing any potential damage. Ignorance is bluss. Alot of crap flew out, and it didn't bend the fins thank god.
Thats the same as regular truck too. My 97 was roughly 7 gallons. Or thats what I bought.... The rear heater core and lines probably don't use all too much.
