water to air intercooler - part 2

From a dead stop, WOT to 80+ mph. Basically a full run down the "track". Ambient temperatures varied from 50f to 85f with little difference.

water to air intercooler - part 2

Ah. Now I see what your PM indicated Chris, no need to reply to my question. I managed to get my ATA to keep the IAT around 150f. That is with a little smaller core than several of the other guys are using, and I left my airdam intact under the bumper. I have a larger intercooler to go in...

Heath Diesel's Bonneville truck is detailed in maxxTorque: a few questions

I can not find the stupid magazine anywhere in this city.

    Big 6.5 Test

I don't see any indication that you cleaned the bugs out of your radiator so I voted yes for the overheating. This should be set up as a betting pool.

Who to believe? ISSPRO or GMTDScantech?

I don't know much about the isspro guages so I have to ask this; Is the isspro guage liquid filled or in a sealed/nitrogen filled format? I have seen many guages set up like this give false readings. On the autometer guages sometimes there is a small screw in the top rear of the unit that needs...

6.5 gets thumbs up from Cummins

Holy crap dude. Are you going to force me into some real serious mods on my truck to try and catch you?

    Fun with a 6.5

Most of the time. They have alot of long box crew cabs as well. Of course all of them are diesels. Apparently there are no traffic lights or stop signs on the colonies.

    Fun with a 6.5

Every day is a 6.5 event in this city. Some of us call it "dodge the old farmers with nothing better to do than impede traffic" game. If they are not driving an old 6.2 or 6.5 they have a used up oilfield powerpoke. The farmers that work for a living can afford duramax and cummins powered trucks...

    Bullydog Propane Injection

I sent Bully Dog an email about an exhaust system a few years back. They finally replied after I had bought a Warpspeed Kit, left it sit in my shed for a few months and then installed it. I have no idea if they never got around to answering my email or if the interweb gremlins had their paws on...

I might be needing something around that time...

    Bullydog Propane Injection

Some of the members here and the other place say that you have to take it alot easier with the propane injection on the 6.5 engines due to the higher compression ratios of the indirect injected fuel system. I have no personal experience with it.

    99 Sub rear wheel spacers...

Personal opinion: I would stay away from the aluminum spacers. Heat changes from weather, driving and braking will allow the aluminum to shrink and expand a bit more than the steel ones. It probably would never cause a problem but the chances of a problem are alot greater than if you used steel...

New site, new upper plenim, new pic.

Just an update; CR is correct, no quick diesels in Hanna (not presently running anyway). One Dmax running, that was it. The guy was a bit of a dragstrip rookie. Once he caught on he made it through a few rounds of eliminations fine. The car club there was very easy to work with and I hope we...

Tips, tricks and shortcuts for installing injectors

Personal preferance here to add to what Chris has said: I use anti-seize paste on the new injectors threads and the crush washer.

One of my best freinds lives East of Eston, and South a touch. Great place to shoot stuff. Well at least you will get to see some of the largest mule deer on the planet, and whitetail, and antelope......

    Great Stuff! (Spray Foam Product)

Michigan, Wisconsin and Northern Illinois have it way worse than us here. I have even seen license plates rusting on cars driving down the road in Wisconsin. The absolute worst place to buy a used vehicle from is Ontario and Quebec. I was looking to buy a dually last year and everything that I...

    Great Stuff! (Spray Foam Product)

Been there and done that. I have a 1970 GMC factory Holmes wrecker. We painted it many years ago and used expandifoam to fill the rocker panels. Added a bit of rocker guard and paint and it worked for many years. I could post a picture of what it looks like after it has disintigrated if you...
