The GMC I have runs really smooth, the chevy has a real hard diesel clatter. The chevy also pulls like a tractor. Som Im wondering if the GMC needs to be adjusted since its pushing 300k
Im cleaning up that set of PYOs I scooped up. I need tires on my truck so nows a good time to put the new rims on. I was wonder what the best way to keep them looking good is?
Should I put clear coat back on them or should I leave them aluminum and buy some polish from autozone?:???:
The TCM uses the speed from the transmission sensor and the engine rpm sensor along with the TPS to determine if the engine is bogging down. Something must be telling it that its not bogging down.
Makes me like mechanical IPs
Whenever I mess with old tractors trying to get them going I always have some type of cap in my hand that will fit over the intake manifold.
Since it shutdown with the key it has to be the IP making it go wild. If it was getting oil from the turbo...
Ive been doing some thinking on that. Since my truck is my tow machine I should probably consider that in any gear changes.
I think Im going to sell one this summer. Michigan is making the plates $100 a year min. If you have a newer car where your paying over $100 its going up 80%. With the...
You making me think about putting the 3:21 since my rig is a 2wd. My truck sucks fuel at highway speeds. I need to drop the RPM like you mentioned. I still have 2 years in college which is about 15 hwy miles one way. And we all know fuel prices have no where to go but up.
I bet you feel a lot better. I felt so sick when I was having the trans problems.
Ive been having some OD issues myself. Ill try changing the sensor. I never even thought of that being the problem.
The sensor you want is the two wire sensor that screws into thermostat crossover manifold. It is the temp sensor for the ECM. The sensor down on the cyl head if for the gauge.
I think you can unplug it and jump it out with a paper clip and that fools the computer into thinking the engine is warm.
Looks like one right on top of the engine out in front and the other is in the back corner passenger side. Im pretty sure they are both the exact same.
I think the other is on the back of the block. Seems like they are like $6 each. I have some Hayes manuals Ill see what I can find. I have to restart my comp, its being a buttmunch and freezing up on me
They make a mechanical valve body for these transmission. If mine ever bites the dust Id like to go that route so these electrical problems wont hold me up.
