    id start with 220, I ran out of 220 and had 150, I doubt Ill get all the scratches out.

    Sanding the clear coat helped the stripper work. Its still takes forever though. I don't even have 2 done yet, just to time consuming. Within the next 2 weeks I hope to have them done and on.

    My jimmy is my winter ride, the salt raised hell with it. It needs a lot of body panels welded in and new front fenders.

    Mine were corroded really bad so I had to sand that off.

    I would imagine it depends on how yellowed the old clear coat is. I would think the best way is start over. I cant seem to get the mirrored look back on mine so once you sand them that spot wont match the rest.

    We had a run-away twice on the 1994 K3500. Wife had it happen to her and then drove

    If you work in a area around flammable gas, like a oil well you have to have one of these. http://www.kilairevalve.com/diesel_valves_aluminum.html The Detroit diesels in the CG motor life boats have a bit flapper that will flop over the on the top of the blower.

    But they are superior Must be superior in cost savings. Im surprised GM spent the money on alcoas in the first place. They probably used them to designe the rim and then threw them under bus. Us poor guys will take what we can get. It will look nicer then my stamped steel rims:hihi:

    Ive wet sanded them down to 2000 grit and now im polishing. I dont want to do it again

    I read through that before I made this post, I remembered it from back when I bought these rims. I was just curious over the past 2 years if anyone had any different opinions. Maybe their new clear coat started pealing. I still have 3 rims to go, right now im planning on clear coat unless...
