LB7's had injector issues so remember that. That 8.1 isnt too bad considering the miles. All be said though if you can get that for 10 or under thats what Id do so I wasnt worrying bout when I would have to be coming up with more than a few G's to replace injectors.

Excuse my ignorance but why put cardboard over the top of engine? On another note I put in some Mystery Marvel 4 oz in my tank bout over month ago and loss some mileage (yes I can tell sometimes...lol) so would it hurt to put the sea foam in now thru the brake booster? Also in tank afterwards?

Man you arent kidding!!!! I had an old 79 K20 350 in it. Motor always dripped a LITTLE oil so after mudrunning I decided to powerwash EVERYTHING including under motor and all. Welllllll bad idea! That oil pan leaked like a siv. I tried replacing the gasket to no avail 3 times. Finally gave up...

You cant beat a 496. Dont get me wrong the 454 is a good motor and lasts forever too but for the price these are now I would definetly get a 8.1L. Ive towed my 18' cargo trailer outta town alot and have never had a prob with maintaining speed..even on hills. I roll out usually at 80 mph with it...

Resistor unit under dash on blower motor I believe. Look on DP for the threads. Its a $25 part at parts store.

Overpriced IMO. You can find 8.1L all day for that with same cab set up. I'd have an 8.1 any day over a 454. I say get em down to 6 or 7 and its a deal. Do your research and goto KBB and Nadaguides and work it to your advantage on your trade-in and that price. Look around and see what they are...

IIRC 5.3's were only 1/2 tons from 99 - 07. The L33 was all aluminum and was from 05-07 6.0's were in 99 non HD 3/4 tons and 00 HD's and up
