I'm looking for some help from someone who knows enough about diodes to chime in here. I'm working on the all on headlight mod to the SS. It is possible but it has not yet been done yet. I need a diode long enough or help with a heat wrapped pre prepped diode.
I bought a couple 4004 type...
It's probably a bad box. I had an 04.5, which was built January of 2004 as an LLY. I went through 3 Edge boxes. I got endless check engine lights, malfunctioned sensors, blue smoke, white smoke, you name, I got it. All 3 boxes caused me problems. I finally got rid of it. I couldn't take it...
I preferred the 85 tune any day of the week over the 12 tune. It rattled way, way too much for me. The 85 was perfect. And I didn't find the 120 any faster either. The throttle sensitivity was pretty cool but it was friggen loud and I hated it.
Rydnhi4x4 has been running the 120 for years...
On two trucks, I never once saw the filter meter move at all. I think it's worthless, unless you're running 900 h.p. where it would suck enough air to feed an F/A-18.
The new filters aren't the blue circular Donaldsons anymore?
They're all quiet on the 3rd through current generation trucks. Don't you realize just how quiet your truck is now? It's not gonna get a whole lot louder. Like I explained before, I'm running a 4" MBRP with a resonator in place of the cat. To me, it is very quiet inside the truck. I also came...
I would put money on the steering shaft. I'm on my 3rd shaft and it's doing the exact same thing you're describing. I also went through 3 with my 04.5 LLY. I just learned to deal with it.
Do not ever buy anything directly from the manufacturer. They're gonna end up raping you on the prices. Get with one of our vendors here and you;ll end up paying substantially less than what Diablo is asking for one.
My 99 Tahoe would run the a/c with just hitting the recirc button. My 2000 Grand Prix GTP would do the same. My 04 LLY also did it as well as my current truck. Even 9C1 Impalas do it too. I would say it's definitely a GM thing.
It sounds to me like you're looking for a leveling kit vs a set of new wheels. That'd help with the clearance that you're looking for and also keeps the front end more or less within specs so it's not so outta whack.
You must live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. I say that because that's about the most stereotypical generalization I've ever heard. You must know all 500,000 sworn law enforcement officers currently working in North America.
Some first generation (01-04) got 24-25 mpg right out of the box. They also used IHI turbos. 04.5-current use Garretts with 32 PSI is red line if I'm not mistaken. The best I got with my 04.5 LLY was 18.7 MPG. The best I got out of my LBZ is 23.1.
A tune will not void your warranty. An exhaust will not void your warranty. An intake will not void your warranty. The manufacture has to prove that in case of catastrophic engine or transmission failure, that the exhaust, intake or more specifically, the tune, caused the damage. So, plugging in...
Outpull with what? A trailer and a load behind you? Up a hill? Give me some details. I have a mostly stock configured truck, minus the suspension and exhaust. I wouldn't mind lining them up in a friendly match.
