I never had an issue with removing mine either. I thought it sounded damn good with a 4" system.
Get you a good CAI and that'll really make the turbo louder.
They do respond well to tuning. Disabling traction control is the biggest improvement over stock. Supposedly, these motors can really produce some low end beans after they've been tuned.
Leveling kits dont exactly provide you any additional life on it's own, it merely allows you to crank your t-bars and keep everything else inlined with eachother. I ran a Cognito leveling kit for several years and it's a very nice system. Many of us also changed out to Bilsteins at the same time.
There is no real need to run additives with these trucks. I did run stanadyne when I was living up in the north east but mainly due to the extreme cold clime that we had just to prevent gelling of the fuel, which WILL happen. I pretty much learned to baby it when it was really cold and it...
Those K&N filters are garbage. All you have to do is pull out your stock air box and you'll see where 90% of the air is drawn in from, and it's not the sides. If K&N had an open end to their filters like they should, they might be on par with the rest.
Also, your speedo and mileage is way...
Definitely lose the K&N. The stock filters flow more than enough air to support a stock or near stock truck, and nothing out filters it.
If you're lookin at an intake, S&B's are hard to beat. Its an enclosed system and many of us have had good luck with them.
Is it stock tuned?
There was an issue with certain Predator tunes with surging while using cruise but it was a quick fix with a latest revision update due to many complaints. My 04 surged as well under very light load with a specific tune.
FPR was never really a huge problem on LLY trucks. Turbo mouth pieces did not HAVE to be replaced. I never replaced mine. Injector harness can be fixed with a 3" piece of rubber tubing to slide under the wire harness, fixing the problem in all of 1 minute. Injectors were never an issue with...
It's no problem. I figured you were busy so that's why we did this on our own. It was quick actually.
It was hot so, I don't see why this is odd. It's not we were dropping a tranny or anything.
Grady, these brakes are the same as on the police package Charger. But all the reading I've done...
Ceramic supposedly bites really well when they're hot. Since most of my driving down here is stop and go until I get out of town, they are biting pretty hard when I stab them. Pretty happy so far.
