Thanks for sharing this. Might be a low cost option. I've been looking at canned tuners, because I really don't want a full blown tune. Currently the controller works of a set of relays for that ground the trigger wires. One ground and the fans are on low. Ground the second one simultaneously...
Worst I have seen for trans temp was in the 190's while plowing a few driveways in a row. Normal for the Yukon cruising seems to be 150's.
I usually plow in 4lo if there is any meaningful snow accumulation. I keep a close eye on temps knowing this isn't the optimum plow rig. I think if I could...
Per my visual inspection, it seems to be. The Yukon never overheated previously. I did get to some high temps with the plow on 228 IIRC is the highest i have ever seen. I believe this is more due to the late command of full cooling fans at 227 I believe.
I ended up grabbing the supposed OEM from NAPA. Needed to get this swapped quickly at work today over lunch.
Got it swapped into the housing and installed without fuss.
Performed bleeding/burping just as I did yesterday. The same exact ride home resulted in temps 198-200. Interesting as...
Wow, this morning was amazing having heat sooner. Was 37 degrees ambient leaving the house at 0620. Highway travel this morning the truck ran 206 degrees similarly to yesterday.
Called our 2 local dealers and they dont have the thermostat on the shelf, would take a day or 2 to receive from...
All new parts are JUNK. I am so burnt out with this crap. Even when you buy OEM initially or think you are!
This first one came from Amazon but in an OEM box.
Ive been dealing with a temperature issue. Specifically, the Yukon takes forever to heat up in the winter and will run down the road at 130 to 140-degrees on a cold day on the highway.
Swapped out the thermostat today. Got the coolant drained down and it didnt look bad, still the DexCool stuff...
My wipers put up a fight to come off. The ones from the junkyard came off easy! I did marr up the driver's side one, in the end they will be smelted into a new Hyundai.
Finally got the 99-02 wiper arms on. Anybody in the snow belt that has a 03-06 GMC needs to do this. They make a wiper arm puller, but I couldn't find one locally yesterday. Just used my HF 2lb slide hammer. Got the job done but I am sure the proper tool is easier.
Sorry to you 03-06 Chevy...
Ordered a drivers TTX hub assembly and steering gearbox from RockAuto today. Totally spaced and forgot to use the discount code. Should be here Friday.
Here we go for ABS codes:
Drivers hub replacement with TTX is definitely happening now! I did a quick visual and all looks normal. But it's covered in salt, and behind the wheel.
In NYS you have to renew inspection by the 1st of the following month of expiry, on an annual basis. So my sticker is 02/25, essentially a month and a half to pass a new inspection.
B2S2 had a code and I replaced about 1.5 years ago. B1S2 was replaced just this past summer for an O2 code as...
