Wow I always say AcDelco is the best. But if a company sold a junk product they would go out of buisness! I had heard good things about the wix filters. For that price Id get the wix and change every 5,000 miles instead of every 10,000

Wow I can't beleave that! But all makes have there defects. Atleast it happend when it was still under warranty! I have a 99psd tow truck and couldnt imagine removing the cab to replace the motor. If I had to remove the tow bed Id sell it! :incazzato:

Ya thats where I put mine! On the boost tube next to the alternator. I removed the tube to drill and tap and put the fitting on the back side of the tube so it wasnt noticable :thumbsup:

Hmm I actually scuffed down with a 3M scuff pad then sprayed the adhesion promoter and sprayed base then clear! It looks pretty good but it doesnt look shiny because of the textured plastic surface. I might be redoing them scuff back down and spray with primer then wet sand and re spray untill...

Did you try napa or a regular auto parts store? IIRC we replaced one in the shop I work at.

With 265's and the PPE on 90 I get about 15 around town and 20 highway if im not on it :smilewinkgrin: I have a 01 malibu so I havent gone on a any long road trips with the dmax lately. I should be taking it out this weekend on a trip so Ill get a better highway MPG then.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. The LBZ is the best motor to get in a duramax IMO. :yesnod: For the guy that was trying to sell you a dmax with a bad trans. There could be someting else up. Its hard to get a allison to go bad unless you limp it a million times so it could be a beat truck...
