    Data Link Port

X2 I swapped out the entire harness between a truck and a tahoe (had the whole dash out) And I never located the key fob receiver...... there were a couple components that I wondered about, but could not find a picture of one to compare to or anything. I need to do some learning here or else...

    Tahoe 6.2 swap

When connecting the wires to the RPM sensor (I am using the one that runs off the oil pump drive gear in the engine valley) how do I determine polarity of the two wires? Or does it not matter?

    Tahoe 6.2 swap

Finally got some more time to work on this last night. Got the oil cooler lines from a local hose shop. Installed the fuel tank and battery trays, bought two batteries. I still have to weld some new fittings on the oil cooler and figure out where I want the fuel filter to go.

    Power Steering Pump Removal?

Just went and looked at my 96 (which I think is the same)..............brought back some memories. I did try one time, and was unable to pull the pump by itself (without pulling the whole bracket). I think to get the pump off the bracket you have to get the special tool and pull the pulley off...

    Power Steering Pump Removal?

There is a little bracket that angles back behind the pump to the block. The most recent one I pulled I did pull with the AC bracket as a unit. About the sensor if it is in the head it would be the coolant temp sensor.

    Bad transmission problem

Welcome! There are some folks around here that really know these transmissions..... They would probably like to know what year the truck is and also if you have checked for any transmission codes.

Am slowly gathering all the plumbing fittings etc I need to finish the fuel lines and oil cooler. In the mean time have been thinking about the exhaust and what I want to do for a turbo....... I know N/A is like riding a dead horse.... and a stock turbo is an asthma attack for the exhaust...

    Tahoe 6.2 swap

Well the last few days have not seen much progress, but I did get the water pump re-installed (we do it nice cause we do it twice) And got the wire harness for the transmission controller laid into place. Still have a ways to go in getting all the wires secured and lots of sensors to get hooked up.

Help, Stranded. No restart. DTC P0335

So are you getting fuel out the drain valve now?

Help, Stranded. No restart. DTC P0335

Still sounds like you have a lift pump/fuel delivery problem as well, if you don't have fuel pressure at the drain valve while cranking....

    Honda gx340

There was an old cartoon in our paper one time.......Two guys were working on a chain saw, one said to the other "If we worked as hard at clearing trees as we are at starting this chain saw we would have a hundred acres cleared" What you need to do is hook that pull rope up to the input shaft...

    Honda gx340

My dad had a generator that got a leaky float and would flood out.... So I second WarWagon comment on that. If you shut off the gas will it fire on ether? (I saw your comment on new carb... but maybe bad replacement?) You could probably just pull the connectors off of the kill switch because...
