    Suncoast GMax Kits

Definitely a great kit... I've got about 500mi on mine so far and it feels like a night and day difference.

    Best Bang For Your Buck

At MINIMUM I would recommend at converter, new clutches/steels, and a shift kit. It's not worth all the work taking it out and building it unless you're putting some decent stuff in. Doesn't have to be a top of the line Gmax kit, but something like a SC stage III is something to definitely...

    Leaking fluid help!!!

Did you recently change the fluid to a different type? How warm were things when this happened? How many miles on your truck? How hard were you driving it? Did/does it still drive ok?

    Suncoast GMAX-6 Kit

Easily. Especially with the two or three of us.

    Suncoast GMAX-6 Kit

Sure! If you want to take a trip down here I'm sure Ben would let you use his lift and I'll be more than happy to help with the build. It's about a 5-5.5hr drive from Henrietta to here; you're more than welcome to stay over for the weekend if you do come down! Sure did. Bought a 1056!

    Suncoast GMAX-6 Kit

I just finished mine this weekened; I'm in the process of putting a writeup together right now. I got the Gmax5-3 Kit (everything included except TQ); I can say right now it runs AWESOME. I got mine from Jim at Upstate Diesel.

    Front end Alignments

I was always told mine was too wide/tires were too big. Pffft.

Another Steering Failure with Cognito Braces

This may be somewhat related to my pitman arm's failure. I don't remember what the stop USED to be before I put the Cognito UCA kit on, but now IIRC the sidewall of my tire hits my UCA before the steering hits any of the stops. With the 4wheeling I do it wouldn't be surprising if a few times...

    Ebay Silverado HD Bearings/Hubs

Anyone tried one of these ebay bearings? They're available from a few different sellers for $80-100. Can't tell what brand they are. Seems really cheap considering they cost $200-300 on rockauto for Timken, SKF, National, etc aftermarket bearings and ~$500 for OEM from dealers. Part number...

    Front end Alignments

I have a friend who works at Town Fair Tire, so I always bring it there under the table. They generally do a pretty good job (not just on my truck of course; on regular customer's vehicles. Costs $69.95 IIRC. I've had two different dealers try and fail; in both cases I sat and waited for...

goodbye forever Windows VISTA - may you burn in hell

IMO, ALWAYS do a full install even if you don't have to. No point in going through so much trouble to install&setup a new OS; it's really not too much work to clean and backup everything anyways. I'm currently running XP Pro and 7 Ultimate dual boot on my laptop, but I may blow the XP away...

03-04 Chevy Winter Front Part Number

If no luck, go with the Cloud Rider stainless; work's great and looks awesome.

    Any Auto Painters out there???

Krylon Fusion for plastics has held up extremely well on my lower air valance... The plastic has been smashed and shattered a few times and the paint has held up with no chipping, cracking etc.

    MPG gauge

I've also heard mixed results on putting a Scanguage on a 6.5... Might be worth a try though, but I'm not sure if it'd work with your '95.

    Homemade Grip Strut Running Boards

All said and done it was probably about $350 and change in steel... Heh heh heh. Fat chicks can't jump but neither can short chicks; there are some nice looking 5'2" girls around here ):h.

    Water Wetter - LEGIT?

Ice buildup in the fins would've made it a LOT cooler. While it does block airflow, if the outside surfaces of your radiator are cold enough to keep ice, you can be damn sure your coolant is pretty cold.

Fuel filter with about 5-7k on it...

Wow that's clean. I buy fuel all over the place because I regularly commute to Hartford, Storrs, Old Saybrook, etc... All over the place. There's probably 12-15 stations I regularly buy fuel from, depending on where I am when I need it and who's cheapest. I'm getting about 20-21mpg (about...

    Brake Pedal Travel- How much?

How far does your brake pedal move before you actually get some resistance? Mine seems like it goes a good 2-3" before it starts to really take pressure. I just replaced my front brakes (rotors and pads), and the rears were replaced once already and are in good shape. I bled the crap outta...
