Theres quite a few 6.5ers around my area. i see a few everyday on my drive to work. don't think there are any site members up here though....
I am in Mission...lots of 6.5's here in the valley. I think they sold very well back in the day.
Called Pensacola Fuel injection and they told me 90 day warrantee on D-tech.
They have some stanadyne's for cheap but NO warranttee. Apparently bought from another diesel shop. All listed at the big store. (bay)
Anyone running the D-tech on the pump? I need a new PMD. Truck had a new IP at 193,000km has about 240,000km now. I have read that the D-tech is made to be mounted on the pump with higher heat/vibration ratings...anyone know what the warranty is on them? (I know about Heaths 7year but cannot...

I recently hauled home my tandem axle flatdeck trailer with 4 yards of soil and rocks after completing a late night job. Hauled it about 35 miles. Flat freeway and some nasty hills as my home is in the mountains. My Sub had no problem towing it, had a bigger problem stopping it. 11 pounds of...
Maybe I should just relocate the filter? Take the angle bracket off and screw the threaded filter adapter to the block. Then screw the remote adapter to the block and move the filter for easier access?
Oil on rubber gasket of course ...back off 1/8th turn no. I had one come off my first Suburban (gasser). Ever since then the tighter the better. Filters I am using are crap. Almost through the case, got 2 left.
Need new oil filter adapter. The last 4 times I have changed my I could not remove the filter...it squished. Cheap shiat...I had to remove the adapter and use a pipe wrench on the filter with adapter in the vise. It slipped last time and marked up the aluminum. It will leak soon.
Is the oil...
I ordered a system from Jardine for my '95 a few years ago. It arrived without a hitch. I ordered a system for my '99 Sub from Jardine a few months ago and had nothing but trouble. Re-read the ebay ad and it said something like seller has 20 working days to ship...I called on the 21st day and...
Just hauled 48 cubic feet of sawcut concrete slab on my trailer. 7200lbs + weight of trailer. Tows much better with spacers installed....Less dicey in the corners.
Thought about discs. I have a complete set of bolt on spindles and disc/rotors from a 74 Matador. Years ago that's all we used when we wanted to put brakes on a trailer...:)
Yeah, found the shoes to be C10 chev rear. But none of the drums that match have the 5 on 4.5 bolt center required. I also found the 68-70 dodge polara or monaco to be similar....11 x 2.75 shoes and picture looks the same.
Unfortunately no 68-70 monaco 440 front drums around. I turned the...
This trailer is towed with a 6.5 diesel so I hope the mods will allow.
Flatdeck tandem axle car trailer, surge hydraulic brakes. Brake shoe broke loose and cleaned all the hardware off and ruined the drum. I cannot find parts origin, as trailer is a U-built. 5 bolt wheels, shoe size is 11"...
The washers on my Suburban stop squirting when the wiper blades come to the full down position. Then they start squirting again when the blade starts to go up the window again. Pretty cool actually. So wiping and washing must be interlocked somehow. At least on a '99...
