Hey all, had a persistent rattle in my burb for a few months now. I thought I found it the other day when I discovered the soot trap heat shield had a broken mount where it mounts to the tranny. I removed the heat shield as I have no cat anymore... still got the rattle. It happens under light...

FWIW over at a Porsche site I frequent Mobil 1 is getting a bad name. It appears it is the cause of premature lifter failure in some (knowledgeable) guys opinion...Mobil 1 is recomendend oil from Porsche, but I have also heard that that designation is usually got for a price.$$$ Currently I am...
I have 2" spacers on my 1999 Sub K2500. No problems after 60,000...a few others on here have them as well. The Sub drives much better with them especially if the road has grooves from heavy vehicles..
Thanks for the reply's...I think I would build my own as well if it was for my Burb...(more reason to drive my Porsche):)...he needs his truck as he is a contractor.
My neighbor needs a 6.5 for his 1997 or 1998 k1500. Any longblock or drop in recomendations? I am in Canada but have a US address to ship it to. His existing engine has 380,000km or so. Should be ok for a core as it is still running. Thanks
Unfortunately all I have. System had higher than reccomended pressure on the cheapo guage...but it was working a bit. It is unseasonably hot where I was working (Seattle 105`) and the a/c just quit today. Compressor not running, checked pressure again with the cheapo and it was too low. Added...
My 1999 Sub...the A/C works but not like it should. Pressure on the low side is too high with compressor running. It is into the red on my A/C guage. What should I check?
Rear driveshaft u joints...Part number or recomendation where to buy appreciated. The parts guys around here try to tell me there is no such thing as a 1999 Diesel Sub..thanks ..
I ship lots of parts into Sumas WA..for my trucks and my Porsche. "Ship Happens" charges $5.00 canadian for a package. You can easily walk across the border at Sumas and retrieve it and leave your truck in Canada. Of my last 8 trips across I have only paid GST 1 time...some shipments were...
My 95 k1500 6.5 was faster than my 99 burb even though S versus F...the extra hp and torque are no match for the reduced weight of the 1500. Both had 4" exhaust but 1500 had no gauges. I find myself backing off the throttle more in my burb as it approaches 1200f quite easily.
Got it on my '99 Burb...Very good fit. Had a pinnacle power on my '95...the diamond eye fit the burb better. It was easier to put on...70,000km no problems yet.
