[Boy, looking through this is alot different than what I am used to with EFILIVE. You can manipulate the software a bit to get the graphs and such, but it really isn't that user friendly by comparison. Looking through it though, is there a way to change it...
In reference to vendor status.
Agreed. And I don't think a single person here desires to hurt the forum or vendors. I just think that there would possibly be guys who have no problem paying a vendor a pittance, as well as guys who'd buddy up as Orionthade is saying. It would be cool to...
@ Orionthade, I'd be willing to do the same. I just think that a friendly twenty would definitely motivate someone to make it happen fast. Also, if several of us had a supply of chips, we could just volunteer to ship them to the address without the complicated correspondence.
Regarding the 5521...
One last idea and I'll shut up. I'll bet a guy like racedaymechanic could develop a really slick under hood conversion harness for obd2 to obd1. I know some people would be interested in going backwards in technology just to be able to use gmtdscantch tdc learn on obd2. Then a dirt cheap tune...
Here's another caveat. Smartphone scanner. Basically scantech app. Someone could make some great cash. I bet every member on here and other places would pay ten bucks for that app, and repay each time they upgraded their smartphones.
If the library had a great selection of programs, then the buyer could select their program, and a vendor could burn the chip and drop it in the mail. Little out of pocket expense and a whole new world opened up to everyone.
Just thinking as well, that if someone wanted to become a vendor, they could sell selected burns from the library for 25 bucks or so to help out those who don't have the equipment, or who just don't want to go through the learning curve. I've always contended that people own 6.5's because they...
That sounds about on par. I have towed weighing over 20000 from kansas to Florida, and got about 11 mpg. With 4:11's I rarely beat 15 mpg emptyunless I just barely touch the pedal all the time.
I think I've got a set of big block rods. One of them I think needs machined from a spun bearing. I'd be glad to donate them if someone would be willing to machine them for 6.2 . This is a good opportunity to put together a better combination.
I've got a similar broken rod problem with one of my engines. I think it happened because I didn't fix the thumping in the intake (Lifter issue, I suppose). The explosion looks just like yours. I'm just trying to figure out how to build so it won't recur.
