DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

I think the key will be improving the library on your website. It would be nice to include the commentary of both the creator and those who have tested them. Then they will just select tunes and order what they need.

For one thing, creating boost also creates backpressure on the exhaust which takes more horsepower. If boost is unnneeded to maintain speed, then it could be robbing horsepower.

How much are you selling the single tune adapters for? Are you beating Moates prices? I have two friends that I'll have buy them as soon as we have come up with a good tune. The economy tune of the fermanator's works without any glitches so far. I just need to do some comparison to find out how...

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

Took it for a short drive. Idles good. To be able to tell how it's doing I have to work my way through a lot of problems that happened when I had the engine rebuilt. The mechanic meant well, but...... 1. He hired a man to do the job that botched it. 2. Fired the man, but that didn't make my...

I have a 4254bmsd0152 and another which I believe is an upgrade. I'm trying to figure out how to save the files with the burn2 reader. I made an adapter setup, but I don't know how to save the bin yet.

That's what I was wondering. So I've made and adapter to read the blue chip with burn2. I'm trying to figure out how to read the chips I already have. Does tunerpro have that capabilty?

http://www.moates.net/g2x-tbi-type-switching-adapter.html Is the the adapter that allows multiple tunes. Seems it would be helpful in developing tunes as you could modify parameters, switch between options then keep the most successful.

Got my burn2 and chip adapter. Funny thing, though, I think maybe my truck may already have a chip in it. My factory chip boosts to 15 psi. Isn't that higher than factor. I think I'll try to read it and see if I can upload the files for folks on here to look at.

I've got a similar setup, except mine has k47 intake, 4 inch exhaust, cooling mods, arp head studs, and is the 2500. I'm soon going to put a h1c/h1e combination turbo on it as well.

DIY BD1 Programming - Burn your own chips!

Pretty much the major variances as I see them would be: turbo, gear ratio, transmission, tire size. If we could get someone with each configuration to test each configuration, we'd have good basic files to catalog. Then it would be helpful to get others to vote them up or down as to which is...

Hopefully I can learn as well. I am liking what I see, but am still intimidated to try on my own. However, I'm sure I can download tunes, burn them, and try them.
